BLURB
As president of my MC, I've always had to hide a part of who I am. I was fine with that until he walked into my life. Now, I can't shove that half of myself into the dark anymore. My club won't understand and the woman I want definitely won't get it, but what choice do I have? I want them both and I'm done with not taking what I want.

Yeah, I'm savage enough to screw the rules to get what I want and I want them.

Both of them—and I won't settle for less.

You can't control who you love but sometimes, it's savage enough to make its own heat.

EXCERPTSAVAGE HEATA Royal Bastards MC Novel   -  © 2020 K.L. Ramsey

Savage felt about ready to turn back around and leave just as soon as he saw his ex sitting at the bar with her girlfriends. Apparently, one of them was about to get hitched and Dallas was there to help her celebrate. At least, that was what he had gathered from the group of rowdy women.
“Shit,” he grumbled and sat down next to Bowie. He looked down at the end of the bar to where Dallas mean-mugged him and had the nerve to laugh.
“I’d say ‘shit’ doesn’t even begin to cover it judging from the way that blonde is scowling at you, man. What did you do?” Bowie asked. That really was a loaded question. It was more like what he didn’t do that was the problem. She was the only woman that Savage dated more than just a few times. Hell, she was the only person he had any kind of relationship within his entire adult life. And, he fucked it completely up with her. He ghosted Dallas when he realized he wasn’t going to be able to commit to her. She’d never be enough for him and how did he admit something like that to her? It was easier to just walk away from her and hope that Dallas would just forget about him. Her angry scowl told him that hadn’t happened yet.
“We dated,” Savage admitted. “About a year ago.”
“Wow,” Bowie whistled under his breath. “So, whatever you did to that woman must have been big, if she hasn’t forgiven you in a year.”
“I didn’t ask for forgiveness,” Savage growled. “And, I’m not looking for it now.”
“Well, I didn’t have you pegged as the dating type,” Bowie said. Savage held up two fingers to the bartender, signaling that he wanted a couple beers. The bar really didn’t offer much in the way of choices and he was one of the regulars, on nights after he had a rough day at work and didn’t want to deal with his MC brothers asking him a million questions. At the Voodoo Lounge, he could just be himself and no one really bothered him.
The bartender brought them their beers and a bowl of pretzels that looked like they had been set out for a few weeks. “Hey, Savage,” the bartender said.
“Mike.” Savage nodded. “Start me a tab,” he ordered.
“Sure thing,” Mike agreed and nodded to Bowie.
“You new here?” he asked.
“Yeah,” Bowie said. “New to the area, really. I’m at Redstone Arsenal.” Mike grunted and Bowie smiled.
“Well, women around these parts seem to burst into flames around guys in uniform. Just watch yourself with the piranhas at the end of the bar. One of the chicks is getting married but they seem to be out for a good time. Just fair warning; unless you’re looking for something like that.” Mike looked between Bowie and Savage as if trying to access what was going on between the two of them and Savage growled.
“Thanks, Mike,” he barked, all but dismissing the guy. Bowie laughed again and he wondered what was so funny but he had a feeling he wouldn’t like Bowie’s answer. So, he didn’t bother asking.
“Are you always so grumbly?” Bowie accused.
“No,” Savage quickly defended, shooting him a look that probably told him he was lying. Bowie held up his hands as if in defense.
“Okay, man,” he said. “No need to bite my head off. If you want to go someplace else, we can. Hell, we can go back to my apartment. I have beer there.” Bowie shot him a wolfish grin, making Savage smile.
“I’m good here,” Savage lied. He could feel Dallas’ eyes boring into the back of his head and he wasn’t sure what the hell to do about her.
“Liar,” Bowie challenged. “That sexy blonde has you squirming in your seat. It’s hot, really—the thought of you with her. I just don’t want to cause any trouble. Does she know?”
“Know what?” Savage asked, playing dumb.
Bowie sighed. “Does she know that you date guys?” he whispered.
“No,” Savage breathed. He sucked down half his beer and shot a look across the bar to where Dallas was still giving him the stink-eye.
“You ghost her or something?” Bowie teased and Savaged winced. “Fuck, man,” Bowie spat. “You didn’t fucking ghost that hot woman sitting at the end of the bar?”
“I did and can you keep it down, man?” Savage said.
“I’m pretty sure she can’t hear me over this God awful honky-tonk music and the ruckus her girlfriends are making. Why did you do it?” Bowie asked.
“Because she would never be enough for me,” Savage admitted. It was the truest thing he had said to Bowie and he worried that made him sound like an ass. “We had been on a few dates and I really liked her, but then I realized that if I dated her—you know, just her—I’d be denying half of myself. You know what I mean?”
Bowie nodded like he understood exactly what Savage was talking about and he realized that he had just assumed the guy was gay.
“You like women too?” Savage asked.
“Yep,” Bowie admitted.” In fact, I haven’t been with many men. It was easier to deny that part of who I was while I was living so close to home. I didn’t start exploring that side of my sexuality until I was stationed here. I had been on a few dates with men, but not a lot. So, I do get what you’re talking about, man.”
Savage sat back in his barstool and waved the bartender back over.  “We’ll take two more and buy the ladies at the end of the bar another round on me,” he said. Mike nodded and walked back down to where the loud group of women sat and when he announced that Savage wanted to buy them a round of drinks, they all squealed and cheered. Well, everyone except Dallas. She shot him a look that could stop most men dead in their tracks, but he wasn’t most men.
Dallas stood from her stool and started toward them and Bowie cursed. “Um, I’m pretty sure the shit is about to hit the fucking fan now, Savage,” he said. Savage had a bad feeling that Bowie was right.
He held his breath, second-guessing every decision he had made that day, right down to asking Bowie out and buying Dallas’ friends a round of drinks. Yep, he was thoroughly fucked and all he wanted to do was get the hell out of there. Savage stood and threw down a hundred dollar bill, knowing that would cover his tab, and smiled at Bowie.
“That offer to get a beer at your place still stand?” Savage asked.
Bowie smiled and nodded. “Sure,” he said. “But, for the record, you’re being a chicken.” He looked across the bar to where Dallas was making her way across the crowded dance floor and sighed. Bowie was right but he didn’t give a fuck. Better to leave as a chicken then face his ex’s wrath.
“Yep,” he breathed. “Ready?” He held out his hand for Bowie, knowing he might be sending not only Dallas but everyone who was currently watching the exchange between them, a clear sign that the two of them were together.
Bowie took his hand and they made their way to the front of the bar. Just as Savage stepped out of the doorway and into the night, he looked back to find Dallas watching him; frozen to her spot with her mouth gaping wide open. Yeah, she had gotten the message, loud and clear—he was leaving the bar with Bowie and there would be no backtracking now. There would be nothing he could do to erase the hatred and pain that he saw in her beautiful eyes.

He gave me one night—one hot, steamy night. I ended up with more than I bargained for after I walked away from him. I was a fool to think that I could go back to my life in the city and just forget about the sexy firefighter. Now, I need his help—not just for my sake, but for our son’s. He’s the only person I can trust; the only one I can run to and if he turns us away, I won’t be able to keep my little boy safe.

She was my second chance at something I never thought I wanted—a family. Now she’s standing in my doorway, telling me the kid she’s holding is mine. Sure, he looks just like me and she even gave him my dad’s name, but that doesn’t make him mine. She’s not mine either—never was, but this might just be my lucky day. The only catch? I don’t believe in luck or second chances. That kind of thinking gets people killed in my line of work and I won’t end up like my old man. Hellfire will rain down before I let anything happen to them.

EXCERPT HELLFIRE

An Alphas in Uniform Novel - © 2020 K.L. Ramsey

“So, you are ready for things to get messy, Dane? Because my entire life is a disaster—messy doesn’t even begin to cover it.” Reese laughed at her own statement even though there was really nothing funny about it. Her life was a construction zone without the warning signs and flashing lights.
“I like a good fixer-upper,” Dane teased. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty,” he said, flexing his fingers into her hips. She was thinking of all the parts of Dane she’d like to make dirty.
“So, when you were talking about taking things slowly, how slow were you planning on going?” she questioned. Suddenly, the idea of Dane wanting to pump the brakes on what was so obviously happening between the two of them only made her want him more.
“I think we should wait to have sex, Reese. If we just jump into bed together now, where does that leave us?” he asked.
“Satisfied,” she pouted. Dane chuckled but she found the whole thing a lot less funny.
“Believe me, I want this every bit as much as you do, Reese. I’m just willing to wait to make sure we don’t end up living in two separate states again after our night together ends,” he said, pushing a strand of her brown hair back out of her eyes.
“Will you at least kiss me good night?” she asked, not hiding her pout. “Please,” she added.
“If you promise to behave yourself, yes,” he whispered. Dane dipped his head down to gently kiss her mouth but Reese had other ideas. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his body down to hers to deepen the kiss. She loved the feel of his hard body pressed up against her own. It had been so long since she had felt this much desire for any man—three years to be exact and with the same man who currently had her pinned up against his body, kissing her senseless.
“Dane, please,” she whimpered, shamelessly rubbing herself against his jean-clad erection. She was willing to beg him if that was what it would take but not having Dane take her back to his room to spend the whole night reminding her just how well they fit together, felt wrong. One way or another, she needed to end up in his bed and she would use all her ploys to get there.
Dane
Reese had her hot little body practically wrapped around his and it took every ounce of his restraint to tell her no—because he wanted to give in to everything they both obviously wanted.
“Dane,” Reese whispered against his lips, “I need you.” He groaned and took a step back from her effectively untangling her from his body. His cock protested and he had to agree what he was about to do sucked but it was the only way to prove to them both they could work this time.
“We can’t,” he groaned. “Reese, I want you for more than just one night, baby. We’ve already talked about this, remember? We’re going to take it slow this time; get to know each other for the sake of our son. It won’t be fair to Cole if we jump into bed together and don’t try to build what we both want.”
“I know,” Reese moaned, “I remember our conversation, but right now all I can think about is you taking me back to your bed and making me yours again.” Dane closed his eyes, not able to erase the mental image of having Reese in his bed or under his body again. He’d give just about anything for it to happen but one of them needed to keep their head and priorities straight.
Dane dipped his head, stealing one more quick kiss from her soft, wet lips. He knew if he took more from her he’d give in to her request and drag her back to his bed. “Good night, Reese,” he murmured, causing her to pout.
“You don’t sound very happy about telling me goodnight, Dane,” she taunted. Reese was right, he was pretty fucking pissed about not taking her back to his room.
“Well, I’m not. But, this is for the best, baby,” Dane said. “I’ll see you and Cole in the morning, honey,” he promised. Dane knew if he didn’t turn away from her now, he never would. He walked down the hall to his room and didn’t chance a look back. If he saw her needy and breathless watching him walk away from her, he’d turn back around and give her what she wanted—what they both seemed to want.
He shut his door and made his way back to his bathroom, needing a shower. Hell, he needed to get off. He stripped out of his clothes and stepped under the warm spray and groaned while palming his throbbing cock. He leaned back against the cold tiles and thrust his dick into his hand thinking how much he wanted Reese’s sweet little lips around his cock, sucking him deep into her hot mouth. Dane closed his eyes allowing visions of her lying across his bed with her legs wrapped around his waist to assault him. He knew jacking off into his hand wasn’t ever going to be enough to stay the lust she brought out in him just by being in the same room.
“That’s so hot,” she moaned. Dane opened his eyes to find Reese standing on the other side of the shower door watching him through the glass. She sent him a pleading look and he couldn’t tell if she was asking him to finish getting off or let her join him. He didn’t have to figure it out once Reese started stripping. His breath hitched as she slipped her shirt over her head, revealing she wasn’t wearing a bra. Dane’s mouth watered at the idea of wrapping his lips around her taut nipples. She seemed to read his mind, stripping faster.
“Please don’t tell me no,” she begged, opening the door to step through the spray of water and into his arms. “I need you too much for you to turn me away now, Dane,” she whispered.

A Ties That Bind Novel    © 2020 K.L. Ramsey

Angela Gallo was never one to do as she was told, but she seemed to be able to read Mila’s distress and sat down in the chair. “Okay, let’s hear it— all of it, Mila and don’t leave out any of the gory details just to spare my feelings.” “I think I’ve fallen for my boss and well, you can see from the picture that he might feel the same way,” Mila admitted. Her mother didn’t try to hide her smile. “Well, that doesn’t seem like a bad thing,” her mom offered. “Gabe seems like a very nice man and you’ve told me how much you love his kids.” “I do and he really is, Ma,” Mila confirmed.“But there’s more. You need to hear all of it before you start planning our wedding or anything.” Her mother rolled her eyes and sipped her coffee. “Really Mila, you’ve always been my most dramatic child,” her mother chastised. “I’m listening.” “I’m not the only person interested in Gabe. Max and he have been seeing each other for months now and well, they’re involved,” Mila said. She watched her mother for any signs of surprise or shock but really didn’t see any. “You do know that your brother, Luca is with both a man and woman that he loves, right Mila?” her mother asked. “Well, sure,” Mila said. “But this is Maxen we’re talking about here. He never gave me any indication that he liked men and now he and Gabe are in a relationship together. I just never saw any of the signs,” Mila admitted. “Heck, maybe they were there but I just didn’t want to notice them.” She had spent most of the night tossing and turning, trying to think back over her and Max’s time together for some clue that she might have missed. As far as she was concerned, there weren’t any missed signs, not that it mattered much now. “If Gabe and Max are in a relationship; why was your boss kissing you in the back of his car?” her mother asked. She knew she could leave it to her mom to cut to the chase. “Because they want me to be a third in their relationship. They are both bi, just like Luca and Anton and I guess that would make me their Sofia,” Mila giggled at her own joke of comparing herself to her brother’s poly relationship. The thing was, Luca’s relationship worked and he was happy. They were building a family and Mila wondered if she would ever find that same happily ever after with Gabe and Maxen.
