BLURB
A sheriff and his deputy investigate several brutal murders in a coal mining community where fear and terror have struck. As the investigation continues, they piece together a shocking and terrifying puzzle that leads him to believe that the murders may be the work of a serial killer.

Or is it someone from out of town? Or worse yet, is there something even more sinister?

The murders seem to have no pattern or motive, leaving them struggling to find answers. With time running out, the sheriff must find the killer before he strikes again.

If you are a fan of Dean Koontz, James Rollins, Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Stephen King, or Michael Crichton, you will love Hidden By The Dark.

This book is the first in the Pine Creek Thriller series.

How would you describe your style of writing to someone that has never read your work? I work on the proper tone for the story and believe characters that you hopefully feel an emotional connection with.

What mindset or routine do you feel the need to set when preparing to write (in general whether you are working on a project or just free writing)? I believe creativity takes a great discipline. I get up very early before the rest of the family and write EVERY day trying to get to a 5000 word goal.

Do you take your character prep to heart? Do you nurture the growth of each character all the way through to the page? Do you people watch to help with development? Or do you build upon your character during story creation? I base every character on someone that I have known to draw inspiration from. A good example is in this book. The sheriff questions an old woman about a murder. I knew a woman just like her when I was younger. She was just like the character and was a very interesting woman.

Can you share your next creative project(s)? If yes, can you give a few details? I just finished the follow up to Hidden By The Dark. It is called Dead In The Shadows. My editor has it now with a release date of September 4th. It is available for pre-order. I also have a Sci-Fi series for Young Adults that is called Earth Rebels! - I am currently working on Book 2.

Where would you spend one full year, if you could go ANYWhere, money is not a concern? What would you do with this time? Oh, man! Dare to dream! I would probably pick some sweet little home on a hill in Ireland. Just make sure I have a computer or typewriter and lots of coffee and tea! Of course, I would need the obligatory chair and my dog curled at my feet.
