“Thank you,” I said quietly.
“For what?”
“Oh, everything. Brunch, inviting me to your party, taking the subway. Looking at me like that.”
He moved a little closer, and I could feel his warm breath. Ten trains could have gone by and I would not have noticed.
“How am I looking at you, Kealy?” he asked.
Goddamn, he was hot.
“Like you want to kiss me. Really badly,” I said.

Thank god I was leaning against something.
“Well, that’s funny. Because I do want to kiss you badly. But I’m not surprised you figured it out.
