The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . A BEAUTIFUL END (Broken Bow, #1) . . . There is a first for everything. Rarely am I wrong about the person behind the menace of the story. But I have to say that I was not totally right either. I had my first and second suspects in place within the first six chapters. By the end of the story, I was happy that I had at least guest but he was not my primary. Now, that left me with more of a mystery as to how my first suspect will pop up in future installments of this series.I did enjoy this one. It opened with startling surprise and a bit of trauma. London and Seb are well acquainted. They have a past that connects them as well as their present as godparents to London's niece. We are introduced to a host of characters that makes small town life interesting and comforting at the same time.
I did enjoy the ebb and flow of Jenn Lee. I would have liked a bit more variation at some points when it was hard to tell if the speaker was male or female. Those were few, but still made and impact. Those were the times that I had to backtrack a bit to rehear the conversation and the tone of it. Overall, I would say my introduction to Ashley A. Quinn was a success. Thanks to her writing and Jenn Lee bringing it to life for my listening enjoyment.
