Publication date: September 21st 2020

BLURB

In Crossroads you make a deal to get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need instead.

Kaoz Bellamy left Crossroads to ride the range. Upon his return, he finds his girlfriend gone—and she even took his custom beer tap. Worse than the fact he won’t be accessing his favorite brewski anytime soon is the realization she isn’t coming back.

Did the big, jerk of a cowboy actually think Brielle would wait around pining for him, when he didn’t give any indication how he felt about her? No amount of rope in the county could tie her to that man again. But after one look at him, she finds that old flame still burns hot, his hands are just as perfectly rough…and he can still light her on fire with his kisses.

No matter how sexy and out of control their interludes are, Brielle will never fully trust Kaoz again. He claims he’ll do anything to win her back, even help out her pain-in-the-neck brother with his startup ranch. Kaoz never did see eye to eye with her family, but if he can help get her brother’s ranch on its feet, he just might have a second chance with the little firecracker he loves. Working alongside him means ample opportunities to remind her just how good he can make her feel too…and Brielle fears if she loses her heart to the determined cowboy this time, there might be no getting it back.

EXCERPT:

Kaoz staying on the ranch. Too close for her comfort. Where exactly did the cowboy plan to sleep?

While she turned the horse out to pasture again, she tried to keep the annoyance out of her movements. Then she stalked straight to the house and threw open the door. Everything looked the same. She didn’t see Kaoz’s plaid shirt tossed over the arm of the couch, but that didn’t mean he hadn’t infiltrated her life more than he already had.

Rushing to her room, her heart drummed. The door stood partway open. She nudged it, sending it swinging all the way—and saw his bag on her bed.

“Oh hell no.” She ran to the bed and unzipped the bag. A whiff of his masculine scent flooded out, wrapping her in its warm, spicy cocoon.

She whipped up a shirt from the top of the bag and yanked on both sleeves, trying to rip it in half. The cloth didn’t even stretch an inch. Knowing that her need to tear things to shreds the way he’d shredded her heart wouldn’t work, she grabbed the whole bag and strode to the window.

She threw it open and tossed out his shirt. It landed outside in the overgrown bushes. A bird flapped out, flying for its life.

Next Brielle yanked out a T-shirt. “New Mexico? You can keep your New Mexico tourist T-shirt!” She rifled it like a football, but it only passed over the bush and landed in the yard. Item by item, she hurled them, balling up his socks and whipping them as far as she could throw them. Next came his shaving cream and razor—dumped straight into the bush.Good luck finding those, Bellamy.

When the bag was empty, she chucked it out and then slammed the window shut. To her delight, the wind caught on his boxer shorts and carried them off through the yard.

The heavy thump of a footstep on the floor made her whirl. Kaoz filled the entire doorway, his lips set in a grim line.

“Your things aren’t here.” She spread her hands to indicate the space that only contained her belongings.

He shot a look to the window and then slid it back to her. No, pinned it on her more like. Her heart flipped over.

He stepped inside the room. She moved backward until the window ledge hit her thighs.

“We need to talk, Brielle.”

“There’s nothing to say. You left. You know I didn’t want you to. I thought I could wait it out, and I was wrong. I can’t go back and change your mind, Kaoz.” Her words rolled out in a rush.

He took another step toward her. And another. When he stood in front of her, she was forced to tip her head up to look at him, even though she stood tall as well.

“Get out of my room, Kaoz.”

When he whipped out an arm and lashed it around her spine, surprise ripped a gasp from her. He yanked her in, and she grunted as she struck his solid as oak body. His warm breath washed over her lips, and all she saw were bright blue eyes a split second before his mouth crushed down over hers.

Man. Steel. God, she missed this. Missed him.

She melted for a moment before her sanity took hold again, and she shoved him away.

“No, Kaoz! I told you we’re through.”

He stepped away, his gaze lingering. He ran his tongue over his lower lip in a slow glide that had her thighs clenching.

“I’m staying right here, sweet thing, until I convince you how I feel about you.”

BLURB
Eighteen years is a long time to never forget…

Retired Navy SEAL Oswald “Oz” Morgon assembled an elite team of men with skills far surpassing those of ordinary bodyguards. To save and protect is a creed that goes beyond simply guarding their wards—it’s a way of life. And these guys are his heart and soul, his brothers…and the family he’ll never have. Now, his next call is to find the one woman who always had a grip on his heart. Eighteen years ago, he walked away from her. But she’s thrown back into his arms—and under his protection.

As a JAG Corps Officer, Rose Kilbourn never expected to be kidnapped for doing her job. And there’s only one man who can save her. Back in the day, she believed Oz was the man for her. Then he vanished, leaving her with a secret she can’t confide to another soul on Earth.

If Oz had chosen a different path, he might have Rose now. But a man who’s lied, cheated and killed to save those he guards doesn’t deserve the sweetness of a woman like Rose. Still, he can’t help but steal moments while he can, and Rose can’t bring herself to walk away from the happily ever after she always wanted. Now she must decide whether or not to share her secret before it’s too late. But she doesn’t want to lose the man she loves, the man who must protect her or die trying.
EXCERPT:
Oz’s phone rang, drawing his attention. The number meant nothing to him, but they rarely did. If this person had access to his phone number, that meant he knew Oz.
“Morgon.”
The voice of his commanding officer, now a Navy general, could never be mistaken. Oz still heard his commands echoing in his damn dreams.
“General Kilbourn.” A smile spread over his face at this old connection but resurrected a few that plucked his heartstrings as well. “To what do I owe the honor? Have you finally retired and are calling to offer me your brass hat?”
“No, goddammit. I call you once in eighteen years and your only response is to grab for my rank.” The harsh tone had Oz snapping his mouth shut on any further comments.
“This is no joking matter,” Kilbourn bit off.
“What can I do for you, General?”
A heavy beat of silence hit Oz before the man replied.
“My daughter is missing.”
The effect of those words hit Oz like a sonic boom after an explosion. Except this looked more like a nuclear mushroom cloud.
Jesus fucking Christ. Rose.
“What the hell happened? Where did they take her from?” Tingles shot up from his fingertips to his face, and he realized his blood vessels had constricted with the shock. This was typically the time when people passed out, but he held on to the threads of control.
“From somewhere in DC.”
“You don’t know?” he practically bellowed into the phone. His voice resounded off the high church ceiling.
“No. We have closed circuit cameras showing she left her house around ten-hundred and then went for a run.”
Fucking hell.
“We can get you the footage,” Kilbourn said.
“I can get the footage myself. You believe she’s been kidnapped.” He knew Rose worked as a JAG, who climbed the ranks quickly after she defended a lieutenant and got him out of some extreme charges, which put her services in high demand. Her work required that she dug into back alleyways, uncovering secrets that someone might be trying to keep under wraps.
“Yes, she’s been kidnapped. She hasn’t been home in two days and didn’t show up for work this morning. That isn’t like Rose.”
“No. No, it isn’t,” he said softly. “Does this have to do with a case?”
“We believe so. We aren’t talking about a controlled substance charge and dishonorable discharge—it’s a high profile case of treason, and we might be dealing with groups that can do Rose real harm.”
“Does Rose believe this man she’s defending is innocent?” Her name branded his tongue.
“She does.”
“But she may have dug too deep—stirred up a hornet’s nest.”
“Exactly,” Kilbourn grated out. “Oz—I only trust you. Get her back for me.”
“I will. In the meantime, do not allow any government agencies to get involved. Those untrained bastards will only get in my way.”
“I know—it’s why I called you first.”
“I’ll be in touch when I have her back.” Not if. Oz never failed.

BOOK BLITZ w/EXCERPT - SUSPENSE - SCREWED AND SATISFIED (Moon Ranch, #2) by Em Petrova

SCREWED AND SATISFIED
Moon Ranch, #2
by Em Petrova
Publication date: March 23rd 2020
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

BLURB
Second chance at romance? Like hell, and definitely not with the girl next door.

Dane Moon is the troublemaker of the family, and his latest screw-up was marrying a Vegas stripper. Or was it that she married the male dancer? Either way, that chapter of his life’s over, along with the marriage. He’s back in Colorado on the family homestead, attempting to pick up the broken pieces of his past, present and future.

When vet assistant Brennah Peterson finds a drunk guy passed out in her hay bale, she isn’t surprised it’s Dane Moon. The panty-melting bad boy next door always had a reputation for being the life of the party. Any torch Brennah used to carry for the rough and tumble cowboy has been long extinguished—at least until he throws that crooked smile her way again.

Wanting Brennah and wanting to be a better man go together like boots and hats, and maybe it’s time Dane cleans up his act. But Brennah’s got every reason to stay away from him, and he doesn’t want another ex-wife anyhow. When things heat up, it’s hard for Brennah to walk away. But a hot roll in the hay with Dane won’t be enough, and she won’t accept less than all or nothing.
EXCERPT:
Brennah stared down at the big, muscled, tattooed cowboy passed out in her barn. His black hair and the blacker five o’clock shadow coating his jaw gave him a dangerous air.
Speaking of air, she could use some fresher variety. Manure was a treat compared to this guy, who smelled like he’d soaked himself in alcohol and hadn’t bathed since the time of pirates.
Setting a hand on one hip, she contemplated calling the Stokes sheriff to come get him. She didn’t have time to spend on a drunkard—she had animals to tend to before her real day of work started at her veterinary practice. Without looking, she knew her schedule was jam-packed all morning. She’d eat lunch in her vehicle on the way to some ranch calls to see to livestock and then return late in the day to her clinic to treat more dogs, cats, iguanas, and whatever ailing animal came through her door.
Looking at the man curled on his side, she couldn’t help but think she recognized him. His angled jaw and the breadth of his shoulders seemed mighty familiar.
Sometime in his sleep, his Stetson had toppled off and lay a few feet away. The deep, heavy sleep spoke of one hell of a hangover to come.
Feeling a little on the evil side today, she clapped her hands loudly. “Hey! Get up! Hello!”
He moaned and rolled onto his back, giving her a good view of his big, hard body sprawled on her barn floor. The horses were restless in their stalls, eager for their breakfasts, and in the big corner pen, several llamas pawed the floor to show they wanted out to roam the fields too.
Brennah nudged the cowboy’s foot with her own boot. “Hey! You’re trespassing! Wake up!” No matter how loud she yelled, she didn’t get even a flicker of an eyelid in response.
Storming outside, she looked around for a bucket. She located one and filled it with water—cold mountain water from the spring-fed well—and carried the bucket back in. One heave of the bucket and water hit the guy square in the face and chest.
“What? Wha—” He shook his head, but didn’t get up. In fact, he went back to snoring, mouth open.
Brennah stared at him in shock. His blood must be 100-proof if that didn’t do the trick.
“All right. You asked for it.” Her last resort lay in the midsized tractor she used to haul hay bales to her animals. Quickly, she walked outside and climbed into the tractor seat. She started the engine and backed to the open double barn doors.
A glance over her shoulder revealed that the guy hadn’t stirred even at the sound of the loud engine. She set the brake and then leaped to the ground again. After locating a rope, she hitched it to the back. Then she looped the other end around the man’s ankles. To do this, she had to move each of his spread legs, which weighed as much as tree trunks.
She’d seen drunk people sleep this heavily before, and the behavior always scared her. But her annoyance outweighed any butterflies in her stomach that the guy would wake and come up swinging.
Once she had the rope around his booted feet, she stood back to look at him. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea.
But he was big and heavy, and she had no choice but to drag him out of her barn.
With a shake of her head, she returned to the tractor. Another backward glance and she saw he hadn’t budged.
She put the tractor in gear and rolled forward. The guy bumped along the wooden floorboards. As his body crossed the threshold, she swore she heard a groan from him. Looking back again, she watched his head bump over the lip of the doors and onto the patchy grass outside.
She towed him across the bumpy earth to the water trough and cut the engine. Jeez, this guy was really out for the count, wasn’t he?
When she climbed down, she spotted a small leather object along the trail that had been cut into the dirt by his heavy body. His wallet—and presumably he carried an ID. Though the feeling she recognized him burned strong, she didn’t know the guy’s identity.
She gave him a wide berth in case he woke suddenly and made a grab for her. Then she’d have no choice but to brain him with a shovel.
She walked over to pick up the wallet that had fallen out of his pocket. Propriety told her not to open the bifold and look, but she had to identify the guy, right? She flipped it open and stared at the Colorado driver’s license—expired with a picture of a younger man.
She groaned. No wonder she recognized him—Dane Moon.
Her mind waged a war with her younger alter-ego. In high school, she would have done just about anything to have Dane throw one of his gorgeous crooked smiles her direction, and he never gave her the time of day.
He could only be described as rough around the edges, with a look about him every girl in Stokes High wanted a piece of. Heck, Brennah had her fair share of fantasies involving Dane Moon.

BLURB
Revenge sex and a healthy dose of a bad boy making all the wrong decisions equals one hell of a wild ride. The horse is optional.

Zayden Moon and his brothers are back home for the old man’s funeral, but too bad none of them give a damn what happens to the failing ranch they’ve inherited or all the bad memories that come with it. Now Zayden has more than his murky past and the ranch to contend with. As usual, trouble comes searching for him when he’s asked to rescue a woman lost on the mountain, stranded on Valentines’ Day of all things, and he’s the only man who knows where to look. And whoooeee, there’s a lot to look at when it comes to this curvaceous beauty.

Esme thought she was going to the mountain getaway to receive a diamond ring, and instead she’s abandoned by her boyfriend and left to make her own way down the jagged terrain. When a sexy cowboy rides in on a white steed, she thinks she’s seeing things, but soon his warm, rough hands show her otherwise. A hot and heavy dose of revenge sex seems to be in order too, right?

If Zayden had a heart, he’d be falling for the woman with spunk to match her wild curls, but he knows better than to attempt a relationship. And Lordy, Esme sure gravitates to the worst men… except there’s something more to Zayden than he allows anyone to see. If she ever figures out what, she might give Zayden a chance, because the man’s kisses sure can knot a woman up.
EXCERPT:
“You go out with these jackasses and then call me when it all goes wrong. Are you seeing a pattern?”
She didn’t realize she had been doing that, but she couldn’t deny she’d used Zayden.
“You pick all the wrong guys,” he stated.
She shivered as he ran the pad of his thumb across her lips.
His voice sounded rough. “Let me show you how it’s done.” His low words smeared across her soul, and she felt herself leaning toward him.
He lowered his head in increments, his gaze latched to her lips. She wet them, and he growled.
“You don’t want to get mixed up with me,” he said.
“It’s just for sex.”
When his crooked grin hit his handsome face, she laughed, low.
“It’s not the worst decision I’ve made tonight to take you home with me.” She tipped her face up to his, almost begging for his hard lips on hers.
“Am I sensing some revenge sex here? If that’s the case, I’m your guy. I can show these assholes what they’ve lost.” Zayden moved in, a breath away from nuzzling her just like she wanted.
Her heart slammed against her chest, and she could barely drag in a full breath, especially with him filling the car with his masculine scent.
She nodded, rubbing her nose against his. “Maybe.”
“Then let’s do it right, sweetheart.” Suddenly, he released her, and she slumped in her seat, panting with want. “Drive.”

BOOK BLITZ w/EXCERPT - CONTEMPORARY - COWGIRL HEART (The Dalton Boys, #12) by Em Petrova

Cowgirl Heart
(The Dalton Boys, #12)
by Em Petrova

Publication date: January 20th 2020
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

It’s not easy to impress a Dalton girl…

BLURB
It’s not easy being a Dalton, let alone the last unmarried one of the Texas bunch. Keziah, or Kizzy, is drained by all the family weddings, and her sisters keep trying to rope and tie her to any old cowboy in the county. To ensure this doesn’t happen, she takes off for the big city and a job as assistant to none other than the smart, savvy and sexy KC Cohen, the mortgage company billionaire who sees her as something more than a cowgirl.

Knox Channing Cohen has achieved his goal—to build his own billion-dollar business from the ground up and without the help of his wealthy family. He’s also managed to break free of his cowboy origins and strike out on his own, far away from the prestigious ranch he grew up on. But when he receives word of his father’s death, he’s back in the saddle… the last place he wants to be.

Kizzy is dragged along as Knox’s assistant to help him deal with the family business. When she learns he’s not only loaded but a damn cowboy too, she can’t be more blindsided. Now she can see all the carved muscle on the man might not be from hitting the gym so much as hard work. Knox wants to sell out the ranch, but seeing the dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty at home around horses has him second-guessing his beliefs about the country… and wondering if he can remind her that she’s a cowgirl at heart.
EXCERPT:
Son of a bitch, he was kissing his assistant… and she was more amazing than he’d even fantasized.
As if realizing the same thing at the same moment, Kizzy drew away.
He kept hold of her, unable to force his hand to let go.
“I’m sorry,” she said.
He shook his head. “No, don’t. C’mere.” He yanked her close again and kissed her hard. Angling his mouth over hers, he applied pressure to her lips that dizzied the hell out of him. As her tongue slipped out to taste his lower lip, he issued a growl and plunged inside.
She melted into his embrace, kissing him back, tongues stroking over each other’s in a dance that was sexier and hotter than anything on this dance floor.
When he’d seen her with that first cowboy, he’d been pissed. But when Corbin got his hands on Kizzy, a white fury had risen inside him. He’d experienced strong feelings of jealousy before, but this… Hell, he couldn’t let Kizzy out of his sight.
The music changed from a boot-stompin’ riot to a slow song, and he swayed her in his arms, letting the emotions he’d been holding back for days encompass him.
There’d be hell to pay for this slip in protocol, but he’d deal with it later. Right now, he had to have her.
“Kizzy,” he whispered against her lips.
Her blue eyes, so close, were a myriad of hues, from sky blue to deep navy specks. She dropped her forehead to his, and he nuzzled her lips, brushing his own back and forth across hers in time to the music.
God, the sweetness of her gripped him so hard, he could barely breathe. When had he ever felt something remotely close to this? The attraction had been there from the beginning, but over the past few days, he’d learned what an amazing woman Kizzy was.
When she reached up and tangled her fingers in his hair, he bit off a groan of desire. To feel her beneath him, to be inside her…

BLURB
Arielle Jackman grew up as an Army brat—and then she became an Army wife. Now she’s widowed and looking for something she’s never had… roots. Back in her favorite Texas town, she’s teaching middle-schoolers, and since she and her husband never had any, she considers them all her kids. But the evenings are lonely, and Arielle’s wondering if she should get out and make some friends. Then friendship finds her again, in the form of an old childhood acquaintance, Cavanagh Wraggs.

As a way to take his mind off things, he volunteers at a park cleanup program, but finds another distraction in a very sexy Ms. Jackman as she bends over to pick up trash. Talk about hot for teacher. Now Cav is facing some harsh choices—lose the job and team he loves or the woman who makes him happier than he’s ever imagined. Maybe, just maybe, he can find a way to keep it all.
Get book 1, At Close Range, for only 99¢!
EXCERPT:
Cavanagh Wraggs. Back in eighth grade, the name was usually whispered in the girls’ bathroom, accompanied by giggles and blushes. If only her old school friends could see him now…
Arielle threw him another look under guise of tying off a trash bag. Not only was the man huge but bulked out with muscle. His size and strength gave the impression he worked outdoors or in construction. Whatever he did… he sure did it for every woman and even a few of the teen girls here in the park today.
Her own body was feeling a little out of touch with the sensations coursing through it. Darren had been dead for two years now, and she’d been far from ready for sex. But Cav made her think about breaking that dry spell.
Immediately.
She cut a look toward a grouping of bushes not far away. They’d be shielded enough there, right?
She bit down on her lip, almost laughing out loud at herself. These thoughts weren’t anything she’d entertained over the past couple years of her grief. But she was alive… and lonely, if she was truthful.
Plus, she’d always had a small crush on Cav and seeing him again had caused all those breathless moments she’d once felt at simply passing him in the hallway to resurface.
A nudge against her shoulder had her snapping out of her reverie. She looked up into Sarah’s blue eyes. “All right, girl, spill it. I need to know all about that hunky guy on the ladder.”
Both of them turned their eyes toward the gazebo as Cav planted a foot on the rungs and began to climb down. His jeans pulled across his muscled thighs, and Arielle suddenly wished she was standing behind him to get a different view. But this was good too, especially when she spotted the veins snaking over his bulging forearms as he gripped the ladder.
Sarah issued a soft puff of air like she’d just been punched. “He’s quite…”
She nodded. “Yes, quite.” Her mouth was dry. If women got catcalls on the streets, surely there must be a female version of that.
“He’s all man, isn’t he?” Sarah sounded dazed.
She felt just as stunned when Cav turned from the ladder, and with what seemed like a flick of his wrist, pulled the heavy metal contraption away from the roof, flipped it and stuck it over one shoulder.
