BLURB

Minnie — The Reckless Kings told me it was pointless to pine after Satyr. I kept offering myself to him, hoping he’d see me as something more. I was a fool. All that man will ever see when he looks at me is a club girl. I’ll always be trash in his eyes. So when the President offers me a chance at a new life, I grab on with both hands. It might mean living with yet another club — the Devil’s Fury — but once I meet Doolittle, my entire world turns upside down. I’d thought myself in love with Satyr, but I was so very wrong. Doesn’t matter. Same situation, different man. I might be starting my life over, but Doolittle knows what I am, what I’ve been… and he’ll never want someone like me as his old lady.

Doolittle — Beast asked a favor and I gladly agreed. I have no problem with a woman who wants a fresh start. Before I even met Minnie, I’d offered to let her work at my clinic. I don’t know what I expected. But the stunning woman who shows up leaves me tripping over myself. I’ve never met anyone like her before, and the instant connection between us is startling. Just one problem. Well, three. The first is Meredith. The girl won’t take no for an answer and is determined I’ll be hers. The second is that Minnie feels unworthy of being mine. I’ll just have to prove her wrong. The third I never saw coming, and it just might change everything.

WARNING: Doolittle is part of the Devil’s Fury MC romance series and contains bad language, violence, and adult situations. You’ll also find entirely too many adorable animals, no cheating, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

EXCERPT:

In the last three months, I’d been with Satyr a handful of times. I’d been coming here less and less. If it weren’t for Brick requesting my presence tonight, I probably wouldn’t have come. When he’d asked me to join him for a drink, I hadn’t been able to say no.

Brick reached out and grabbed my hand. “I know this isn’t how you wanted things to end. We were all hoping Satyr would pull his head out of his ass.”

“You’ve all been warning me for a while now. Everyone knew he’d never want me as more than easy pussy. It was stupid for me to think he might change his mind.”

“Minnie, he’s my brother and I have to side with him, but… I think he’s missing out on something special with you. It’s been clear from the beginning you’re different from most of the women who come here.” Brick patted my hand. “Which is why Beast would like to run an idea by you. Head on back to his office. He’s expecting you.”

I stood and went down the back hall and knocked on the President’s door. I’d wondered why he was here on a party night. Ever since he’d claimed Lyssa, he’d started heading home when things heated up at the clubhouse. I couldn’t blame him. His wife was wonderful.

“Come in,” he barked.

I opened the door and stepped inside, leaving it open so no one would get the wrong idea. He sighed and rubbed at his eyes.

“Brick said you wanted to see me,” I said.

He nodded. “I know things haven’t worked out well for you here. You plan on staying in town?”

I shrugged a shoulder. “I have a job and an apartment, but… I really don’t want to see Satyr around town if I can avoid it. There’s nothing holding me here. My job isn’t exactly fabulous.”

“I heard you have some experience with animals,” he said.

“The human variety or the furred type?” I asked.

He smirked. “Probably both, but I meant the kind with feathers, fur, or scales.”

“I do. I worked in the kennels at a boarding place during high school. I mostly dealt with dogs and cats though.”

“There’s someone with the Devil’s Fury arriving here tonight. He’s bringing a puppy for the kids. Someone tossed it into a sack and tried to drown it. Goes by the name of Doolittle.” I wasn’t sure what that had to do with me. Was he asking me to pet sit whenever he went out of town? I must have looked as confused as I felt because he smiled and leaned forward, bracing his elbows on his desk. “The Devil’s Fury are down in Georgia. Doolittle isn’t just one of their patched members, but he’s also a veterinarian. Owns a local practice. I mentioned your situation to him, and he’d like to help.”

“Help how?” I asked.

“Meet with him and hear him out. He’d like to hire you to work in the kennels at his clinic, but also to help with the animals he takes home. He has an entire sunroom filled with all sorts of critters that need attention. Sound like something that might interest you?”

I nodded. “It does. Not sure trading one club for another is the smartest idea though.”

“You wouldn’t be a club whore there, Minnie. It’s a fresh start for you. No one in town will know your past, except the Devil’s Fury officers and Doolittle. None of them are going to say a damn word to anyone. Even though some of their other members have been here a time or two, I know you didn’t spend time with them. I doubt they’d remember seeing you here. Just think about it.”

Publication date: September 24th 2021

BLURB

Mariah — I knew my dad, a Dixie Reaper, wouldn’t understand why I wanted to date a cop. It’s why I’d planned to elope with Ty, until it all went so very wrong. My dad caught me, tossed me into the car, and drove me hours away to the Devil’s Fury. I didn’t know he’d already promised me to someone else. Savage. The Devil’s Fury MC Treasurer. A man who set butterflies loose in my stomach at first sight.

The man might have claimed me as his, but he runs every time we’re in the same room together. I can’t tell if he’s just that turned off by me, or if there’s another woman. Whatever it is, he either needs to let me go, or make me his — in all ways. I just never expected the surprise left at the gates, and the way it would make my heart break, or the fact my ex would be a lunatic. I should have known life would throw me a curveball. Or two. Nothing is ever easy.

Savage — Claiming a woman sight unseen didn’t seem like such a bad thing. It wasn’t like I had anyone I wanted to settle down with. The fact she’s two decades younger than me might have given me pause at one point, but not anymore. Then she arrives, spitting and hissing like an angry kitten. I try to do the right thing and give her time. Except clearly that was the wrong thing to do.

I’ll make her realize she’s the only one I want, claim her in every way possible, but first… I need to take care of business. The dirty cop who preys on women and children will be taught a lesson he won’t soon forget. Should have known the daughter of Dixie Reaper wouldn’t shy away from getting her hands dirty and wouldn’t need saving. Not sure how I got so lucky to call her mine, but I’m holding on tight to Mariah. She’s the best thing to ever happen to me.

WARNING: Savage is part of the Devil’s Fury MC and contains bad language, adult situations, dark content, and violence some may find difficult to read. But there’s a guaranteed happily-ever-after, no cliffhanger, no cheating, a super cute little girl, and some adorable kittens.

EXCERPT:

My jaw ached from grinding my teeth. I stared out the window, refusing to even look at my dad. I couldn’t believe he’d hauled me away from Tyson. Another few minutes, and we’d have been gone. I wondered who’d told. Could have been the Prospect at the gate, or any of my dad’s spies around town. I should have waited until dark. Even though I’d begged Ty to wait, he hadn’t listened.

“Can’t ignore me forever,” my dad said.

Want to bet?

We crossed the Alabama state line and entered Florida. He hadn’t said exactly where we were going. Devil’s Boneyard? They weren’t far from our current location. I wanted to ask. Pressing my lips together, I forced myself to remain silent.

“Fine. Pout like a damn kid, Mariah, but it’s not going to change anything. Settle in. We still have a bit of a drive.”

I looked over at him. What the hell did that mean? The Devil’s Boneyard was only another hour, if that. So where were we going? When he took the ramp to head north into Georgia, my stomach knotted. Oh, shit.

“We’re going to see Farrah?” I asked before I could stop myself.

“Nope, but same location.”

Shit. If we weren’t going to see Farrah, then who? Did my dad want my brother-in-law, Demon, to scare the hell out of me? Because it wouldn’t be hard. Just being in his presence was enough to make me pee myself. I knew he doted on my sister, but it didn’t change his scare factor. I’d heard the stories of what he’d done when people crossed him or the Devil’s Fury.

I tried not to fidget as the truck ate up the miles. My nerves were shot by the time we arrived. Expecting my dad to stop at Farrah’s or even the clubhouse, I couldn’t hold back my gasp as he kept going. Bile rose in my throat, and I scanned the area, not having a damn clue whose house we’d be visiting. The fact he’d packed my clothes and a box of my books didn’t bode well for this being a quick stop.

Since my dad had taken my phone, I couldn’t even text Ty to let him know my current location. I knew he’d have come for me. We may not have made our flight today, but we could have gotten another one.

We came to a stop outside a sprawling home. It might have only been one-story, but I could tell it was far from small inside. I got out and stood by the truck, not knowing what to expect. The front door opened and when I saw the large man who strolled out to meet us, my stomach flipped.

“You made good time,” Savage said, holding his hand out to my dad.

“Needed to get her out of there immediately. Caught her trying to run off with the cop.” My dad glared at me. “Nothing to say, Mariah?”

“Why am I here?” I asked.

Savage’s eyebrows rose and he rocked back on his feet. “Damn. I’m guessing this is a conversation we should have inside. Y’all come in. Need me to get anything from the truck?”

“I threw a box of her books in the back seat, and she has a bag of clothes. I can send the rest in a few days.” My dad started walking to the house. “Getting old’s a bitch. I’m using your bathroom.”

Savage snickered.

My dad tossed a phone at him. “That’s hers. She can have it back, but I’m not giving it to her. She may call that shithead cop.”

Savage caught the phone, looked at it a moment, then handed it to me. “No calls or texts until we talk. Don’t make me regret letting you have that back.”

He opened the back door of the truck and hauled my stuff out like it didn’t weigh anything. I had no choice but to follow him into the house. He set my things down inside the door and motioned for me to have a seat in the living room. Gray slate floors stretched in every direction, and the light gray walls added to the drab color scheme.

I sank onto a black leather sofa and eyed the unusual coffee table. It had to be custom-made. The base looked like a large cut tree trunk. Etched into the top were the colors for the Devil’s Fury, and a piece of glass set over the top, cut to match the edges. I hadn’t ever seen anything like it. The wood had been distressed or stained to a dark charcoal.

To my left, a flat screen TV hung from the wall. It had to be at least sixty inches or more. Across from the couch and table were two chairs, and a smaller table set between the two. An ottoman sat catty-corner to one of them, and I figured it must be where Savage usually sat. The chair looked more worn than the other one.

My dad entered the room, his arms folded, and he glared at me. I narrowed my eyes right back and waited to see why he’d brought me here.

“What did you mean you caught her trying to leave with the cop?” Savage asked, sinking into one of two leather chairs, the one I’d thought would be his. He sprawled, reminding me of a big jungle cat.

“Ty and I are getting married,” I said.

Savage tensed. “That right?”

“I didn’t tell her,” Dad said. “I should have, but I was biding my time.”

Savage arched an eyebrow. “That worked out well, didn’t it?”

The look they shared told me something was up. Why had my dad brought me here? What had he kept from me?

“Tell me what?” I asked.

“Casper VanHorne arranged for Savage to claim you as his old lady. You’re already promised to him, Mariah, so you can’t marry the damn cop.”

BLURB

Glory -– Who up and moves to another state where they don’t know anyone and don’t have a job or a place to live? Me, that’s who. When I heard Devil’s Fury was running an underground clinic for women like me — victims of boys pretending to be men — I knew I had to be a part of it. What I didn’t count on was falling for an alpha biker with a heart of gold or turning to mush every time he holds my daughter. There’s more to Wolf than most people realize, and now that he’s decided I’m his and he’s mine, I’m holding on and never letting go. I won’t even let a killer stand in the way of my happily-ever-after.

Wolf — When my ex left for greener pastures I should have been broken-hearted. So why wasn’t I? One look at the angel who walks into Church and I know… Glory’s meant to be mine, and so is her adorable little girl. Just one problem. Well, two. She’s skittish — she’s been badly hurt by men before, and I’m not exactly a prize. I came back from the war broken physically and mentally. I know Glory can do better. But I always get what I want, and I want Glory. When someone tries to destroy my new family, I know I’ll do whatever it takes to keep them safe… even if it means letting Glory see the darkness inside me.

WARNING: Wolf’s story is part of the Devil’s Fury MC series and contains some violence, bad language, sensitive issues, and adult situations. Guaranteed happily-ever-after, a baby who will steal your heart, no cheating, and no cliffhanger.

EXCERPT:

“Want me to take a look?” I asked. “Maybe I can help.”

Something flashed in his eyes. Embarrassment?

“Wolf, everyone gets hurt. Even big, strong guys like you.”

“It’s an old injury and it’s far from pretty. Nothing can be done for the pain right now. I’ll soak in some hot water later.”

I knelt at his feet and placed my hand on his knee. “Please? You’re doing so much for me. I need to repay your kindness. I know I’m a burden on the club right now, unable to even pay for my own groceries. I need to do something to give back.”

“You don’t owe me anything,” he muttered.

“Wolf.”

He growled and yanked up his pants leg. I blinked as I realized why he’d been rubbing at his leg. It was missing from partway below his knee. The prosthetic he wore had a boot attached, but I could see the angry skin where it attached to his leg, despite the sleeve.

“IED,” he said and tried to pull his pants leg down. I stopped him and lightly ran my fingers over the angry looking skin.

“When you get back, make sure you have a change of clothes with you.”

“What?” His brow furrowed.

“You’re going to soak in the tub here and then I’m going to rub some ointment into your leg. The skin is irritated.”

“Putting the leg back on to go home would ruin whatever good you were able to do. I’ll be fine, Glory. Been taking care of myself for a while now.”

I sucked at guessing ages, but Wolf appeared to be somewhere between late twenties and late thirties. I didn’t know when he’d been in the military, but if he’d been injured by an IED he must have served at some point. From what I’d learned, quite a few of the men here had been in the military.

“Then let me drive Sienna over to your house after you get back. I’ll bring the ointment with me and treat your leg after you soak a little.” I gripped his knee. “I can make dinner so you won’t have to worry about cooking tonight.”

He watched me, his eyes giving nothing away. “My leg doesn’t disgust you?”

I ran my hand down his calf and over the top of his prosthetic. “No. I’m sorry you lost part of your leg, Wolf, but it doesn’t make you any less of a man. If anyone’s told you otherwise, they were idiots.”

“You’re not what I expected,” he murmured.

Grizzly — She’s too sweet, too good. Too perfect. May deserves the best life can offer, a respectable guy. That isn’t me. She might see me as some cuddly teddy bear, but there’s blood on my hands. EXCERPT:

Summer — 1982

I ran my hand over my cut, proud as hell that I’d earned my patch. As the newest member of the Devil’s Fury MC, I should have been at the clubhouse enjoying the party. Instead, I found myself hiding in the shadows by the pond on the outskirts of town. If anyone owned the property, they were long gone. The land had grown wild with weeds. The tall grass around the pond blocked it from view of anyone driving past.

I heard May giggle and a splash. Jealousy ate at me. I had no right to feel any sort of emotion about her at all. She wasn’t mine. Never would be. May was a good girl. Sweet. Angelic. Not at all for the likes of me. I’d noticed her in school, even though I’d kept my distance. Until I’d discovered she liked to come swim here. The first time I saw her in her two-piece swimsuit, I’d had to pick my tongue up off the ground. Who’d have thought little May had curves like that? She’d only been fifteen at the time, and I’d had no business looking.

“Stop it, Mike.” I heard another splash. “I said no!”

My heartrate kicked up and I crept closer, quietly shifting the tall weeds aside for a better look. The dumbass jock she’d come with seemed to be copping a feel. The way May squirmed and shoved at him, I knew she wasn’t just playing around. When she’d told him to stop, she’d meant it. Dickweed didn’t seem to understand.

When he tried to work his hand down into her swimsuit bottoms, I knew I had to do something. I wasn’t about to let him molest her while I stood idly by. Even if I did belong to a club that didn’t exactly walk in the right side of the law, there were lines I’d never cross. Hurting a woman was one of those.

I stepped out of my hiding spot. The moment May saw me, hope sparked in her eyes. Yeah, I wasn’t walking away. Not without making sure she was safe.

“I think she said no.”

He turned to look at me, a sneer on his lips as he eyed my cut. I knew all about Mike Malone. Star forward for the basketball team. Just the sort of guy May should be with, if he weren’t such a douche.

“Let her go, Malone.”

“Or what?” he asked.

“Or I’ll make you, and then you’ll have to run crying home to your mommy. She said she wasn’t interested, but you must have too much wax in your ears.” I folded my arms. “Or maybe you got hit in the head with one too many basketballs. You should catch those passes with your hands and not your face.”

I honestly had no idea how well he played, or what the fuck his position on the team even did. I’d never been into basketball, and I sure as hell hadn’t been to any of the games at school.

He backed away from May and made his way toward me. He slogged through the water and onto the shore, slicking his hair back from his face. We were nearly the same height, but I had a bit of muscle on him. And I knew how to fight. Prissy boy here didn’t stand a chance.

“You lay one finger on me and my parents will sue your ass.”

“And what exactly do you think they’ll get? I don’t have a house. My bike is a piece of shit. Even I can admit that, but one day it won’t be. I don’t have a damn thing you’d want, Malone.” I held my hand out to May. “Come on, angel. I’ll make sure you get home safe.”

May hurried out of the pond and grabbed her towel, wrapping it around her. She came straight for me, giving the jock a wide berth. Couldn’t blame her. He didn’t seem like the type to lose gracefully. Now that he’d decided May should give him what he wanted, he wouldn’t back down. Not until he was forced to.

If he kept bothering her, I’d have to pay him a special visit. Make sure he got the message loud and clear. May wasn’t for him to play with. Or anyone else for that matter.

“This isn’t over,” Mike said. “I’ll ruin you!”

“You can try.” I smirked. “Your parents might be well-off, and maybe this town thinks rainbows shine out your ass, but you don’t scare me. You’re just a little boy pretending to be a man. Men don’t hurt women, numbnuts.”

I backed up, keeping my eyes on him until we were far enough away I felt safe turning away. I wouldn’t put it past him to try and stab a man in the back. Seemed like the chickenshit sort of thing he’d do. I led May away from the pond and stopped next to my bike. She only had on flipflops. There was no way she could ride on back like that.

I straddled my bike and motioned for her to come closer. I lifted her, making her squeal, and settled her side-saddle across my thighs. It wasn’t perfect, and I’d have to go really fucking slow, but at least I wouldn’t worry about her burning her legs or feet on the pipes. I didn’t even give a shit that her suit and towel were soaking the thighs of my jeans and my shirt.

“I live in the Willow Brook Apartments,” she said.

“I know.” I winked at her. “I make it a point to know where the pretty girls are.”

BLURB

Shella — The Devil’s Fury are the only family I’ve ever truly had. My mom was a junkie. When she died, no one wanted me. Except Grizzly. I had a home, until things went horribly wrong. I went wild, pushed too many boundaries, and overstayed my welcome. So I ran and didn’t look back. Trouble always seems to find me, so it’s no surprise I ended up pregnant, alone, and scared out of my mind. Then Slash shows up. Out of all the Devil’s Fury brothers to come for me, why did it have to be the one I’ve been crushing on since I was a teenager?

Slash — Little Shella was always a pretty girl. Spoiled. Outspoken. A complete terror. Now that she’s all grown up, she’s stunning. I needed to keep my hands to myself, and maybe I would have if she hadn’t been adamant not to disclose the name of her baby-daddy. Only way to protect her is to give her my name. Doesn’t matter I’m old enough to be her father. When I find out her secrets, and the reason she’d behaved so badly, I know I’ll do whatever it takes to make her feel safe… even if it means burying a few men. I already have blood on my hands. What’s a little more?

WARNING: Slash’s book contains graphic violence and sex, bad language, and scenes that may be difficult for some readers.

EXCERPT:

I felt his hands at my waist and tipped my head back to look up at him.

“You like playing with fire?” he asked.

“Sometimes.”

“Hope you like getting burned. Get your ass in the bed, Shella.”

I turned off the light and crawled into bed, more tired than I’d realized. Sleep tugged at me almost the second my head hit the pillow. Until I heard the sounds of him removing his clothes. I leaned up on my elbow, trying to see him in the dark.

“What are you doing?” I asked.

“Going to bed.”

“The couch is in the living room,” I pointed out.

“So it is. Not where I plan to sleep, baby. Only way I can guarantee you won’t bolt is if you sleep in my arms. You like to cuddle, right? Because if not, this is going to be an uncomfortable night.”

I gaped at him, not sure what to think. Slash slid into bed and just as he’d said he would, he pulled me into his arms. The smell of him surrounded me and I fought the urge to burrow into him. Why did he have to smell so incredible? Musk, oil, and leather all rolled up together. It had always been my weakness.

“Night, Shella,” he murmured, already sounding tired.

“Goodnight, Slash.”

“Talon,” he murmured. “My name is Talon.”

Everything in me went still. Talon. A biker didn’t share his name unless it meant something. I just wasn’t sure what that might be. I liked the way I felt all warm inside that he’d trusted me with his given name. Maybe a little too much.

I’d secretly had a crush on the older man ever since I’d gone to live with the Devil’s Fury. One I’d thought I’d outgrown. Until now.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

He was right. I was going to get burned.

BOOK BLITZ w/EXCERPT - NA CONTEMPORARY - DEMON (Devil's Fury MC, #6)by Harley Wylde

DEMON
Devil's Fury MC, #6

by Harley Wylde
Publication date: September 11th 2020
Published by: Changeling Press
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance

BLURB
Farrah — I’ve spent my entire life at the Dixie Reapers MC compound — one of the perks of being the VP’s daughter. Except it’s suffocating. Leaving to start a life of my own was the only solution. I knew what it would mean if I went to the Devil’s Fury MC compound, even more so to flirt with their Sergeant-at-Arms. Getting involved would ruin the little bit of freedom I’ve found. Then I ended up in the man’s bed. Leave it to me to find trouble around every corner. My daddy is going to be so pissed, especially when I run from Demon, get snatched off the streets, and shoved into a trunk. I’m not winning at the adulting thing.

Demon — She was a one-night stand. Until the condom broke. Then I found out she’d lied to me. The hot little number in my bed wasn’t just any woman, she was the daughter of a Dixie Reaper. Maybe I shouldn’t have barked orders at her, or spanked her. Feisty little Farrah ran, pissing me off even more. When she disappeared and I realized trouble had found her, I knew I’d do whatever it took to make sure she was safe. Only after I had her back did I realize she was f**king perfect for me. Watching her handle the club wh*res was hot as hell, and she didn’t take sh*t off anyone.

I’ll make her mine — permanently.

WARNING: Demon’s book contains graphic violence and sex, bondage, spanking, bad language, and scenes that may be difficult for some readers. But it also has a heroic dog and a man who will move heaven and earth to protect the feisty, smart-mouthed woman he loves. There’s no cliffhanger and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
EXCERPT:
At eighteen, I knew I had a lot left to learn, but I’d never get to experience anything if I stayed. The Dixie Reapers were my family, and my daddy was their VP. I’d led a life most would envy, but I couldn’t sit back and watch the world pass me by another moment. The only kisses I’d had were with boys at school. My dad had never permitted me to go on dates, or do much of anything outside the compound unless he knew exactly where I was, and I knew he had a tracker on my phone and my truck. If I’d lied to him, he’d have known about it.
My eyes misted with tears as I stared at my childhood home. I saw my mom peeking through the curtains and gave her a little wave. I hoped she understood and could talk my daddy into letting me come home again soon. Not to stay, because I was ready to stand on my own two feet. But I wasn’t ready to walk out for good. The thought of never coming back here nearly gutted me.
I pulled out of the driveway and headed for the gates. It was bittersweet pulling through them. Once I hit the highway, I didn’t look back. I had no idea where I was going or what I’d do to put food on the table and keep a roof over my head, but I’d figure it out. I passed through the Florida panhandle, then drove into Georgia. I could have stopped by the Devil’s Boneyard and bought myself some time, but I knew Scratch would call my dad the second I showed up there. No, it was better to keep moving.
My neck and back started to ache as I crossed into Blackwood Falls. I knew the Devil’s Fury lived in the area, so if I got into trouble, they might help me. Stopping for a bit seemed like a good idea. I found a motel, got a room for a few nights, and decided to make a plan. I’d need money before too long, which meant finding a job. I dug around in my purse and pulled out a white envelope with my mom’s handwriting on the front. For an emergency.
Peeking inside, I saw a few hundreds. If daddy found out, he’d be pissed as hell, but I was grateful she’d looked out for me one last time. I got back in my truck and drove around town. There wasn’t a lot open this time of night so I pulled off in front of the diner. Some hot food would help. I was tired and starving, which made it more likely I’d make a rash decision I’d later regret.
A waitress waved at me. “Sit anywhere you want. I’ll be right there.”
I slid into a booth by the window and picked up a menu tucked behind the napkin dispenser. Once I’d decided on food, I set it aside and studied the town through the window. It was small, much like home had been, but at least it was a change of scenery.
“What can I get you?” the woman asked as she hurried over.
“The special, a sweet tea, and a job.” I smiled.

BLURB
Lilian — I may have survived my time with the Colombian cartel, but it nearly broke me. Even now, I can’t stand to be touched by men. But there’s one man who makes me feel safe. Dragon. He’s intrigued me for so long. I never counted on things getting heated between us, or me ending up pregnant. He made it clear he doesn’t want me, or a baby, so I ran. I thought I’d found sanctuary with the Reckless Kings, but it only put me in the crosshairs of a lunatic intent on revenge.

Dragon — I knew Lilian was still skittish with men. When she asked for my help in learning self-defense, I’d been surprised. I never counted on those lessons bringing us closer together, or that she’d ask the unthinkable of me. Now she’s carrying my kid, and I f***ed up six ways to Sunday. When she’s kidnapped, I realize it’s time to bring her home. My home. Whatever it takes, I’ll make sure Lilian knows she’s mine. Even if I have to grovel a little.

WARNING: This is a romance with darker themes that may trigger some readers. It has strong language and graphic violence, a heroine who is tougher than she realizes, and an alpha hero who will stop at nothing to make her his. If you’ve read this author’s work before, please be advised Dragon is more violent than the previous books. Guaranteed HEA and no cliffhanger!
EXCERPT:
I pressed a hand to my belly as I came to a stoplight. “I promise I will give you the best life I can. No one will ever hurt you.”
Maybe it was stupid. My parents hadn’t been able to protect me any more than I could keep this child out of the wrong hands. Sometimes Fate just liked to fuck you over. I didn’t remember a lot about my parents, and my memories had become fuzzy over the years. I didn’t know if they’d handed me to the cartel, or if I’d been taken without their knowledge. When I’d been rescued, I’d been offered the chance to go home, but I couldn’t face my parents. They were devout Catholics, and even though I’d been violated and not given up my virginity freely, I hadn’t been certain they’d have seen the difference. To them, I still would have sinned.
So I’d come home with the Devil’s Boneyard and Grizzly, a friend from another club, had taken me into his home. He’d shown me papers that said I was legally his adopted daughter, and he’d had my name changed from Lilian Sanchez to Lilian Moore. He’d offered to let me change my first name, but I’d kept it as a reminder of where I’d come from, and what I’d survived.
A horn honked behind me and I startled, realizing the light had changed at some point. I eased through the intersection and headed for the clubhouse. The Prospect at the gate waved me through and I went straight home. My sister’s car was in the driveway and I was reluctant to go inside. I loved Shella, but there were times she could be a bit trying. All I’d wanted was to shower, change into something comfortable, and relax for a while. Now that didn’t seem likely.
I walked inside and shut the door, only to frown when I heard Shella talking to someone. I hadn’t seen our dad’s bike out front, or anyone else’s, so who did she have over? Creeping closer to the sound of her voice, I stopped when I realized she was on the phone.
“I don’t know why she didn’t tell you, Daddy, but I thought you needed to know.”
She was quiet a moment, and I had a sinking suspicion she was discussing me. What exactly had she told Grizzly while I was gone? And then I heard it. The one name that made it very clear what she was doing.
“Dragon. She said it was Dragon.”
Motherfucker!
I could hear my dad roaring on the other end of the line before Shella hung up. Her eyes were wide when she stared at me.
“What did you do?” I demanded.
“I had to tell him! He needs to know that someone hurt you,” she said, her eyes filling with tears.
Sweet baby Jesus. “Shella, I told you I wasn’t hurt. No one forced me. Dragon tried really hard to walk away, but I wouldn’t let him.”
She hadn’t believed me when I’d told her, but I’d thought I made her understand. It seemed I’d been wrong, and now Grizzly knew one of his patched members had knocked up his daughter. This wasn’t going to end well. There was only one thing I could think to do. Leave. If I wasn’t here, then he couldn’t take his fury out on Dragon. Out of sight, out of mind, right?
I raced upstairs and started tossing things into a bag. I didn’t know where I’d go, or what I’d do, but I needed to get out of here before he came home, and I knew I had precious little time. If he was somewhere inside the compound, he could be here any second. Shella was babbling something at me from the hall, but I shoved past her and went back to my car, tossing my bag into the backseat. After I retrieved my purse and keys from the house, I got in and started the engine, checking the gas gauge. Half a tank. That would get me far enough for the moment.
I slammed my foot on the gas, reversing out of the driveway, then shot forward toward the gates. I didn’t see my dad as I neared the front entrance, and didn’t even try to slow down. The poor Prospect rushed to open the gates before I barreled through them, hitting the road that would lead me out of town and to the highway. My heart was racing and my palms were damp.
What the fuck did you just do?
There wasn’t time to second-guess myself. I’d run, and now I needed to see it through.
