BLURB

Clayton Trebek doesn’t know what to make of the woman he finds sleeping in her car on his property. After ensuring she doesn’t need help, he thinks he’s seen the last of her until he catches sight of her around Mountain Bend after she said she was headed home. It’s not until she wanders into his club and shows signs of a submissive streak along with a wariness of answering personal questions that he suspects she’s dodging trouble.

Skye Anderson remembers nothing prior to rousing with a throbbing, bleeding head, a dead man sprawled on the bed next to her, and a woman claiming to be her best friend telling her he was her husband. Her blank memories send her fleeing the house in fear and she spends the next few weeks hanging around Mountain Bend. When there is no news about a murdered man, she grows more confused, and more drawn to the rancher intent on helping her.

Loneliness, worry, and fear draw her closer to Clayton, but the time comes when she has to return to the scene of the crime if she wants answers. Clayton isn’t about to let her go and enlists his friends’ help to find her, hoping he isn’t too late to save the woman he’s fallen hard for.

EXCERPT:

At least an hour must have passed when she came across a flowing stream and saw a doe and her fawn getting a drink. It was such a calming sight, she paused at the edge of the trees so as not to startle them. The last tension eased from her tight muscles as she listened to the rush of water, birds trilling, and squirrels and who knew what other critters scampering among the trees. Once the deer left, she found a grassy spot, sat down, removed her shoes, and rolled up her pant legs.

“Holy crap!” Skye exclaimed the moment she stuck her feet in the water, never expecting it to be so cold. To amuse herself, she lifted them out then dipped back in, over and over until her lower legs and feet were pink and she’d grown accustomed to the chill. With the last rays of the descending sun beating down on her shoulders, she set about splashing like a kid, hard enough for drops of cool water to hit her face, replacing the damp sheen of perspiration her long trek had produced.

Skye was having so much fun acting silly, giggling like a teenage girl, she didn’t hear the approach of a horse until an amused voice interrupted her reprieve.

“We meet again, sweetheart.”

With a startled gasp and annoying return of tension, she jumped up and spun around, staring at the man sitting astride a beautiful tan mare, leaning forward on one corded forearm braced on the pommel. A brown Stetson shielded his eyes but not his dark-shadowed jawline, a sexy contrast to the sandy blond hair curling around his tanned neck.

“So we do. I’m not your sweetheart,” she answered tartly, finding the generic endearment as irksome as the interruption of her first relaxing moments since rousing to a dead man and memory loss.

His heart-tripping grin widened and did something to her insides despite her annoyance. “I call all the girls sweetheart.”

That flippant reply grated as much as his intrusion on her fun. Gritting her teeth, Skye narrowed her eyes. “I’m not a girl.”

He straightened and nudged his hat up, revealing his slow, nipple-tingling, pussy-dampening bright blue scan up and down her body as he drawled, “I have to disagree there, sweetheart.”

BLURB

Poppy Fynn gets bored easily, never staying with a job or relationship for long. After a year of cancer treatments, she’s in remission and ready for a change. Her new position as manager on an Idaho sheep ranch excites her as much as the neighboring, sexy, attitude-riddled rancher. Her encounters with Dakota Smith amuse her until he takes over her tour of his private club. Then, all she wants is more of him, any way she can get him.

Searching for the man Dakota Smith knows is responsible for his mother’s murder is his top priority, and he doesn’t have the time or patience for a relationship. So, why does he find himself concerned over one irritating redhead’s underweight appearance and the fatigue he sees on Poppy’s face when she pushes herself? Unable to resist getting involved, he vows nothing will keep him from avenging his mother, no matter how close he and Poppy become.

Thwarting an attempt on Poppy’s life shakes Dakota, but not as much as finally locating the man who killed his mother. Soon he’s forced to choose between honoring his vow of revenge or go to the only woman he’s ever loved when she needs him the most.

He was the only man who made her heart pound and her pulse jump, but would his quest for vengeance destroy their chance for anything more?

Her brazen personality and signs of poor health demanded his attention and threatened his vow to avenge his mother.

She never considered forever until him. He refused to get involved until her.

EXCERPT:

With a startled cry, Poppy toppled to the ground, getting the wind knocked out of her as she landed on her back. The approach of pounding horse hooves shook the earth under her, then a pair of broad shoulders and a glowering, drop-dead gorgeous face blocked the blue sky above her. Even while struggling to get her breath back, she couldn’t help smiling in giddy pleasure.

Hard hands helped her up as he rumbled in a deep voice, “Your sheep are trespassing.”

Since she caught a hint of concern in that annoyed statement, she dismissed his complaint with an equally inane comment. “Your cattle are mingling with my sheep.”

He seemed to get a good look at her as she stood, one hand keeping hold of her arm while he swept the other across her ribs and around to her back. “You,” he growled, his acknowledgement of their prior meeting sounding like an accusation.

“Yep, me. Oh.” Her breath caught as he brushed off her butt, then she leaned forward, widening her grin. “I think you missed a spot.” His huff of exasperation amused her, and she patted his rock-hard chest. “Lighten up. Life’s too short to go around wound up so tightly.”

“I wouldn’t be wound up so tightly if you didn’t keep showing up like a thorn in my side,” he bit out. “If you’re not hurt, I’ll help you gather your livestock. I’m Dakota Smith, in case old man Sanders hasn’t told you. And you are?”

“Poppy Finnegan,” she answered, stepping back and reaching for Hank’s reins when Dakota released her arm. “And, no, Jerry hasn’t mentioned you.”

“What the hell kind of name is Poppy?” he asked in derision.

Okay, that disparagement irked Poppy. His continued discourtesy chipped away at her good humor, and she snapped, “What the hell kind of name is Dakota?”

He thumbed the brim of his hat up enough for her to get a good look into his coal black eyes. “An honored family name, passed down through generations.”

So, she touched a raw nerve. At this point, she didn’t care. “Well, I’m a colorful flower.”

“You’re colorful, I’ll give you that. Come on, let’s get to work.”

He sighed, and her annoyance dropped away. “If we leave them long enough, we could start a livestock breed of doodles.”

“Don’t even think it.”

Poppy gave up trying to get a smile out of Dakota. Instead, she mounted Hank, making sure she kept a good grip on the reins, and rode toward the herd without another word or looking at him again.

BLURB

Deputy Sheriff Shawn McDuff can’t figure out why the new teacher in Mountain Bend seems so familiar, but Lisa Halldor’s evasive answers to his inquiries confirms his suspicions they have met before. When he sees her struggling to focus and respond during a scene at his private club, he intervenes and finds himself as drawn to Lisa’s submissive nature as he is determined to unearth her secrets.

Lisa never forgot the teenage boy who came to her rescue the first night in a new foster home, but she never imagines a nameless, faceless stalker will send her fleeing to his hometown for safety twenty years later. When it becomes obvious Shawn’s memory isn’t as acute as hers about that night, she keeps that fond memory to herself.

A threat against Lisa’s life forces the truth from her, but will Shawn’s protectiveness be enough to save her from a person so determined to see her dead? Shawn’s long ago vow to keep Lisa safe is put to the test as he works fast to make sure she hasn’t come into his life again just to be taken away by a madman.

EXCERPT:

“Hello again.”

With her heart thumping overtime, Lisa gazed at Shawn McDuff over the hood of her car. He regarded her with a quizzical expression, and her mouth went dry, her palms turning clammy as she took in the late-day bristles darkening his jawline and the tilt to his head. She couldn’t help thinking about him this past week, recalling his potent stare, broad shoulders, and imposing height, and wishing she’d impacted his life as much as he had hers.

“Sorry. I didn’t notice you. Hello, Sheriff.” Lisa waved her hand toward the schools. “What brings you here?”

“Deputy Sheriff. A tussle between two high schoolers that revealed the pot they were fighting over. Their parents just picked them up.” He strode around the car and reached past her to open her driver’s side door, his thick forearm brushing her hip. Ignoring her hasty sidestep, he leaned on top of the open door and asked, “How are you liking it here?”

Lisa took a deep breath, forcing herself to get her act together. She’d never stuttered over a man before, and usually enjoyed getting to know new people. Even though they’d met before, they’d been so young, and it was such a long time ago, and under difficult circumstances. It was dumb to be hurt he didn’t remember her, and likely not in her best interest if something she said or did reminded him. His stay in that foster home must have been longer, and worse than the few hours of her memory. She doubted he would appreciate the past showing up on his doorstep.

“I love it. Everyone has been so nice, and welcoming, but I really need to get going. I have an appointment to look at a rental.”

Shawn nodded, stepping out of her way. “That would be the Zimmermans’ place, right? I ran into Drew yesterday.”

She stood close enough to glimpse his eyes under his hat, warming from his intense focus. “How did you know I was staying at their B&B?”

He shrugged. “I asked about you. You’ve made quite a change with your move from Arizona, Ms. Halldor.”

Her shoulders went rigid at hearing that, the thought of someone, anyone, prying into her life rubbing her wrong after all the grief she’d suffered from picking up a crazed stalker. “Yes, well, sometimes change is good, or necessary. If you’ll excuse me.”

Shawn tipped his hat, his tone a shade rougher as he said, “I hope it’s a good move for you. Get those tires replaced soon.”

EXCERPT:

Unable to resist, Drake swung his gaze to Roz on the dance floor as Cody and Olivia joined them at the bar. She plastered those lush curves of hers against her partner, and it took every ounce of willpower to hold himself in check. But when she leaned up and drew the man’s head down to meet her lips, a dark wave of jealousy he couldn’t suppress propelled him to act.

“Hey, what’s up with you?” Cody snapped as he brushed by him without a word.

Ignoring his brother, and that inner voice cautioning him to think this through, he strode onto the dance floor, snatching Roz’s hand off the other man’s shoulder as she broke off their kiss. He shook with the effort to restrain himself, and to temper his tone as he addressed the man.

“Excuse us, please. I need a word with this patron.” Drake didn’t know him, but, from his quick nod and retreat, he guessed the other guy recognized him as one of the owners of the club. “Thank you.” At least acting civil hadn’t killed him.

Tipping his hat, her dance partner saidbefore walking away.

Drake’s throat tightened to quash the growl rumbling inside his chest, the other man’s suggestive tone riling him almost as much as Roz’s reckless behavior. Didn’t she know the risks involved with coming on to men at a bar? Even in the dim lighting, he could see the now familiar shadow of desperation in her eyes when she nodded and watched the other man walk away. Whatever demons were pushing her couldn’t be worse than putting her trust in the wrong person. Her rash conduct, and whatever was prompting it, worried him as much as the gamble he was about to take.

Drake couldn’t keep up this tug-of-war between them. His volatile, possessive reaction forced him to admit defeat. Praying he wasn’t making a colossal mistake in more ways than one, he ushered her toward the stairs leading to their private office and occasional play space.

“Where are you hauling me?”

Ignoring her disgruntled tone, he didn’t turn around as he crossed the crowded room with her in tow. “Upstairs.”

“Why? What are you going to do?”

The breathless catch in her voice drew him around as they reached the hall leading to the restrooms and back staircase. The light of expectation in her eyes hinted she was more interested in what he had planned than in where.

“Give you another lesson in what you think you want.”

Her face flushed, her lips quirking with the same spark of excitement lighting her eyes. “Oh, goody.”

I’m fucking screwed.

Publication date: June 19th 2019
Genres: Adult, Romance

BLURB
Will they both let their reluctance to admit they want more from the other cost them everything?

Nan Meyers returns to her beloved hometown of Willow Springs a broken woman, ten months after leaving for what was supposed to be a short vacation with her brother. For years she’d enjoyed an active lifestyle at the local club owned by her friends, but the trauma she endured while away has stripped her of those pleasures, leaving her determined to get her life back.

Dan Shylock greets the news of his friend and favorite submissive’s return with relief. After Nan cut off all communication with him and her other friends several weeks after going on vacation, her silence had both worried and angered him. Seeing the changes in her upon her return stirs up his suspicions, and when she reveals hints of suffering from an abusive trauma, his protective instincts and determination to help her kick into high gear.

As Dan slowly coaxes Nan back into embracing the pain induced pleasures she once loved, their growing feelings for each other come to the surface. But before either can come to terms with how they feel, the truth about the strange mishaps Nan has been experiencing almost costs her her life. Will Dan get there in time to save her?

This is book four in the Cowboy Doms series but can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Publisher’s Note: This steamy, contemporary Western romance contains elements of ménage, mystery, suspense, and power exchange.
EXCERPT:
“Looks like I’m not the only one unhappy with your long, unexplained absence.” Unable to resist, Dan pinched her chin and turned her face toward him, holding her there even though her eyes darkened with annoyance and she tried to jerk free. “In case you’ve forgotten, you can come to me with anything, tell me anything. I don’t judge, you know that, or you should.” He released her and changed the subject as her expression turned rigid. “I have a new foal, born seven months ago. Pretty little filly. You’ll have to come out and see her sometime.”
Nan’s face lost her rigid irritation and her eyes lit with interest, a familiar look he was relieved to see. She loved horses, and he knew she’d always wanted one of her own, but not until she could buy enough acres to stable it herself. That was part of her independent streak that right now was causing her to remain mute on her reasons for staying away.
“I’d love to.” Her rigid shoulders relaxed with the eagerness in her eyes. “Thanks. Maybe next week, after I get the shop going again. Are you still working with military parolees?”
“Sure, just let me know, and yes, I hired two new guys several months ago.” The troubled vets used the time, space and work he offered to transition back into civilian life and acclimate themselves to their freedom from both drugs and prison before returning to their loved ones or heading out on their own. Of the previous eight men he’d sponsored, only one had lapsed bad enough he’d ended up back on drugs.
Gertie returned with their orders and Dan shoved aside his curiosity and concern to savor spending time with Nan again. The instant rush of excitement upon seeing her again felt damned good, his relief when Connor called to tell him she was back palpable. Even though he itched to get to the bottom of her trouble, he refrained from pushing too hard. He’d run up against the brick wall of her stubborn independence before and didn’t relish starting their reunion on a negative note.
They spoke of everything except about the months she was away and the reason for her extended visit. By the time they finished their lunch, they had rekindled their easy friendship, enjoying it almost as much as before she’d left. His impatience to discover what happened that caused those shadows under her eyes was his only regret as he stood to leave. With luck, once she submitted to him again at the club, he would be successful in getting those answers.
He tossed down a generous tip and reached out to give her hair an affectionate tug, something he’d done countless times before, only to have her jerk away, as if fearing that small prick on her scalp instead of relishing it. Her face whitened and then flushed, the uncharacteristic response heightening his suspicion something dire was going on with her.
Nan slid off the stool, backing away, her retreat a painful kick to his gut. “Sorry. I…”
Dan laid a firm finger over her lips. “Don’t say anything unless it’s the truth.” Dropping his hand, he wasn’t surprised at the mulish set of her mouth or her silence. Sighing in disappointment, he said, “I hope you’ll join us at the club tonight. We’ve missed you.”
Shaking her head, she replied, “I don’t have time, but should tomorrow night.”
He nodded and turned to leave. “See you tomorrow then.”
She waited until he’d taken two steps away before saying, “I’ve missed you, too, and everyone else.”
He swiveled his head to look at her as he settled his hat back on and nodded. “Good to know.”

BLURB
Tamara Barton had lusted after Connor Dunbar ever since she was old enough to know what those stirrings meant whenever he was near. Connor’s refusal to see her as anything but the young girl he’d befriended and protected for years soon drives them apart, but not before she catches an up-close, personal glimpse of him exerting the dominant control she’d heard rumors about.

Connor regretted the harsh words he’d spoken to Tamara when he caught her spying on him as much as his lustful response to the look of need reflected on her face. He’d been looking after the neighbor girl since the moment he saw her falling off her first horse at the age of ten and didn’t plan on stopping now that she was a grown woman who thought she wanted their relationship to go in a different direction. He knew his sexual proclivities were not for the young, sweet kid he was so fond of, and wouldn’t jeopardize their special bond by giving in to her desires.

But Tamara always had a way of getting what she wanted and when he saw she was serious about becoming a member of the private BDSM club he owned with his brother and best friend, Connor discovered he didn’t want her submitting to anyone but him. When he learns she’d kept things from him that could have impacted her welfare, would he allow his failure to protect her to drive another wedge between them or finally embrace a life with her at his side as more than just a cherished friend?

This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but reads as a standalone.

Publisher’s Note: This contemporary western romance contains elements of mystery, suspense, adult themes, power exchange and sensual scenes. If any of these offend you, please do not purchase.
EXCERPT:
Tamara pivoted, her eyes widening as none other than the object of her obsession for the last twenty years entered with a loose-limbed stride that never failed to draw women’s attention, including her own. Connor Dunbar looked the same at thirty-eight as he had five years ago; ruggedly handsome with sun-streaked, dark brown hair worn long enough to pull back in a short ponytail, his jaw covered with scruffy whiskers a shade darker than his hair that was sexy as hell.
“Tam?” Surprise colored his voice as those incredible eyes landed on her frozen stance.
The slow stretch of his chiseled lips hit her with a gut-wrenching sucker punch as warmth encircled her heart. No, no, no, she lamented, resisting the urge to turn and bang her head against the wall. That reaction would not do. She’d stayed away so long to get over him, praying with endless regularity for a much less potent response when seeing him again. Disappointment swamped her upon learning those pleas had gone unanswered. Given she’d returned to put this ridiculous, one-sided infatuation to bed once and for all, her response didn’t bode well for achieving that goal anytime soon. I can do this, remain professional and do my job, she lectured herself. Easy. Piece of cake. And then a blue flame of pleasure lit up his eyes as he strode toward her, shredding her resolve in less time than it took to come up with it.
“I heard you were back, maybe for good.” Gripping her shoulders with his large, calloused hands, he pulled her close for a bear hug she knew meant nothing more than an old friend greeting another. “It’s damn good to see you, sweetie.”
Tamara stiffened, the endearment a reminder he would never consider her anything more than a friend. Pulling back from the comfort of his muscled body, she cast a quick glance down at the list of appointments and saw what she hadn’t had time to check. He was her first patient. Dismay changed to sudden concern, overruling her silent objection as the meaning of that sunk in.
“What happened? Were you injured?”
Connor looked puzzled and then his face cleared with a rueful twist of his lips. Rotating his left shoulder, he nodded to the computer. “It’s in my file, I’m sure. Gunshot wound several weeks back, followed by surgery to repair some damaged tendons. I believe it’s your job to help me gain as much strength back as possible.”
Shot? Tamara pulled back from the urge to sink onto the desk chair before her wobbly legs took the choice from her. Instead, locking her knees, she reminded herself of her job. Given her reaction to seeing him again was as strong as always, she wasn’t happy about having to put her hands on him or with being subjected to his close presence for a few weeks. It is what it is, so get over it already. She’d been repeating that phrase for a long time and it looked like she would continue to do so.
