What if you lost everything you ever loved?
Cassie lost everything in a single night… Her husband, her unborn child and any hope for a happy future.
Welcome to Elvy – Land of the Fae and endless magic.
In an attempt to pull Cassie from her downward spiral, her parents take her home, to Elvy… A world of unparalleled beauty, magic and endless possibilities. But Elvy is not all it appears to be… there is trickery, deceit, a social hierarchy Cassie doesn’t understand and rules she refuses to play by.
To Love again…
When love comes calling, will Cassie fall to the pressure of Elven society or follow her heart to the happiness she thought she lost forever?
Excerpt:
Cassie sat in her room staring out the window. It had been three months since her husband died and yet the melancholy that enveloped her would not let go. But it wasn’t just her husband’s death that haunted her. She was, unfortunately, hit with a double whammy that night.
She was three months into her pregnancy and she and her husband, Greg, had decided to go out and celebrate. It was the first successful pregnancy she’d had since they started trying to conceive. It had taken them nearly three years and after two miscarriages and more hormone injections than Cassie would ever want to think about, the pregnancy finally took.
“If it’s a boy, we’ll have to name him Greg Jr.,” Greg said, taking her hand.
“Oh, you think so, do you? And what if I want to name him something else?” she teased.
Bringing her hand to his lips, he kissed it, “I may be willing to negotiate… for the right price.” He winked at her.
She laughed, “Only you would use sex as a bargaining chip.”
“Hey! I never even mentioned the word sex, but if it’s on the table…” he shrugged, then grinned.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Interview with . . . Charlie Daye . . .
How would you describe your style of writing to someone that has never read your work?
My books are character driven. I don’t write the stories, they do. I’m just along for the ride.
Do you have a character that you have been working on for a long time that still isn't quite ready, but fills you with excitement to work on the story?
That was Cassiopeia. It took me 9 years to complete her story and I am so glad to finally share her story with you all.
Can you share your next creative project(s)? If yes, can you give a few details?
I have several projects in the works at the moment. I have the final books in my Hunter’s Series (The Hunter’s Warrior) and the Sidney Rinn Series (Claimed) that I’m trying to wrap up. Fans have been waiting for the Hunter’s Warrior for a while now. I left them hanging with regards with what happened to Kai at the end of a Faerie’s Rescue. I’ve got a dark fantasy/ paranormal romance called Pursuing Avalon about a woman who becomes an assassin to avenge her mother’s death and finds love along the way – lots of surprises in this one.
If you could have dinner/dinner party with 7 fictional characters, who would they be?
Adam and Mercy from the Mercy Thompson series, Harry Dresden from the Dresden file, Sam and Dean Winchester from Supernatural, Doctor Who, and baby Yoda AKA Grogu.
Where would you spend one full year, if you could go ANYWhere, money is not a concern? What would you do with this time?
I think I would go globe trotting. If I had a year, I would go visit all the places on my bucket list and spend weeks at a time in each location… England, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Alaska, Hawaii and Montana. I have a love of history and would want to explore old ruins or castles and ghost towns and just take my time learning about all the people and cultures that came before me.
