BLURB
It’s been almost a century since Zachary Philips was turned into a creature of the night. A brooding man with a thirst for freedom and for blood. When he hears of the prophesied Vampire Queen being reborn, he hatches a plan to gain his freedom. Soon, their lives collide and although they are opposites, their sizzling sexual chemistry binds them together.
It doesn’t take too long before Ivy Litt finds herself ensnared by Zachary. She also realizes she can’t stay away from him. If only she knew about the web of lies he was spinning.
Will Zachary’s past and cry for freedom ruin his one chance of happiness, or will Ivy’s thread of humanity change the course of what could be something special?

Excerpt:
“Ivy, there is nothing you can do about it anymore. You might think that what you did was bad, but you protected yourself and it also happened to be in the natural way, for a vampire, that is. Which you are now, so you must learn to understand, and live with the knowledge that this will be a part of your future. You will get angry, you will get thirsty, and that thirst will be to kill whoever stands in your way. In this case, the mutts were advancing on you, and you did the natural thing and retaliated with fangs.”
I give her another light squeeze, which then turns into my thumb, rubbing circles on her shoulder, just as I have done in the past. I feel her loosen up a little and all the anxiety and distress fleeing her body.

How would you describe you style of writing to someone that has never read your work?
I’m a fan of dialogue so there is a focus on ensuring the characters have great dialogue. I love humor and sarcasm so always add fun banter in my writing.
What mindset or routine do you feel the need to set when preparing to write (in general whether you are working on a project or just free writing)?
I generally set a timeframe for when I write which is once the kids are in bed and then write until I hit at least 1000-1500 words minimum. The same goes, if not a higher word count on the weekends when my husband takes the kids out so I can write in peace and quiet. My routine is at night as I’m an night owl so it’s easy to write and read, even do my marketing, at night. I’m one of those authors who get great ideas at night and need to start either writing or adding them to notes.
Do you have a character that you have been working on for a long time that still isn't quite ready, but fills you with excitement to work on the story?
Yes, I do. In fact this character has been around for a while, I just never completed the story as other projects came in as a priority. The character has many layers and I’m excited to write the story however I will need to be strategic as it delves into a new genre that I haven’t dabbled in yet.
Can you share your next creative project(s)? If yes, can you give a few details?
I have two works in progress, the first is the sequel to Prophecy of a Vampire. It will focus on Ivy’s and Zachary’s struggle with being apart and her new role as he takes a step back. Connor’s wrath is shown at a deeper level in this book and a new character is introduced. A couple of plot twists too!
The second is a rom-drama. It’s a fun story about the MMC’s view on monogamy vs FMC’s view on promiscuity.
What are some of your writing/publishing goals for this year?
My goal for this year is to finalize two of my current manuscripts that are in progress. The aim is to get them both ready for submissions by end of 2023.
