The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . DARK DESIRE (The Surrender, #5) . . . This was my first book in the contemporary genre from Lauren Smith. I love her historical romance and the energy, charge, and yes, some with that dark edge. I have to say stepping in to the 21st century was a pleasure filled with dark desire and hidden pleasures. Meeting Elena and Dimitri was a thrilling pleasure all unto itself.

There was just something about a Russian accent. The way they protect. The darkness that they carry. This for me translated though the words/audio narration. With that said, let's discuss Zachary. He has long been a fav for me with narration. He has that something special. He can nail males with distinction. There is a varying quaility. Nice to meet you Vivienne. I will be looking for more from you.
