The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . BONUS KISSES . . . Reading a bit about what prompted this book allowed for me to prepare my heart for what awaited me in the page. As with all of the books that I have read form Freya over the years, this was an adult romance with layers of drama and complications. Nothing was really as it appeared and there were resentments that went deep. Within the first chapter of meeting Taz I loved her. I loved her strength. I loved her no nonsense. She was so much more than what her family and Rafe saw her to be. She was more than the freespirit. She was a combination of so much and then more than that would encompass.
I had so much within this story that I wanted to rail about. I wanted to give Taz a huge hug. I wanted to see her not be the outsider. I wanted so much for her and with time and as the book progressed she got some of what she should have had to begin with.
Bonus Kisses was so much more than just that extra kiss. It for me was all that went on behind that kiss and what led to the kiss. I have said it before and will say it again. I love Freya's writing and the stories she give to us, but this one had me on a new and different footing. There was something more to what you read and the connection was deep. Thank you.
