All he hears is the crackling of flames. All he wants to hear is her voice.
With her PTSD treatment finished, Liella Fox needs a livelihood. Most of her family criticizes the unconventional career she embarks upon, and she vows to go it alone until she gets an offer of help from out of the blue. Firefighter Breckin McDermott wants to get to know Liella. What better way than to help with her business plan at her brother Landon’s suggestion?
Liella’s terrified to be alone with a man, but after hearing Breckin’s story from his mother, her fears melt and her heart opens. She soon realizes he belongs in the life she’s forging.
But unknown to the ginger firefighter, Liella’s entrance into the market infuriates a competitor, one who’s mad at the world and finally has someone to focus his hatred on. And he does hate her—enough to end her career. Maybe even her life.
Set in Taylorsville, Kentucky, Justice for Liella revisits the Fox family and gives one redhaired firefighter the task of saving the fiery woman he loves from the thing he hates most.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . JUSTICE FOR LIELLA (Bluegrass Bravery, #8) . . . Another adult romance that make you want to be the one finding your peace, joy, and happiness. I guess you could say minus the suspense and danger that Liella is put through, but at the same time she had one very hot and willing to shield her from it all firefighter, Breckin, at her side. Breckin have his own reasons for wanting to provide help to the beauty, Liella, and was not only to help a fellow brother. He wants to hear her voice. The voice that soothes him and makes things better.
These two have both been through some things that make them cautious in life. But for different reasons and different ways they choose to move forward in life at their own terms, but coming together makes things better. With time, patience, and much understanding on both parties part we get a romance that had attraction and chemistry from the beginning, but needed time to build to more with trust and respect. And of course a little danger and suspense.
As with most of the books of this series and over all Police and Fire world, we see many previous seen characters and couples from other books of the series. No, it is not imperative for you to have read them all. You are provided the needed information to make the connections relevant to this story. But at the same time it may trigger you to want to step back. The value that I find in the series is that these are romances with adults that have lived some life and are finding a chance to have a forever.
Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).
