Dark Paranormal Romance
Once
The King of Nightmares, Ashe lost everything when he was betrayed.
Released from prison, he's got one goal: Stay Free. To make that
happen he'll have to rescue the girl who stole his crown while saving
the court he'd rather see burn. But he can't do it alone. He needs
Callie.
Abused,
neglected, and finally shunned by The Court of Light, Callie is done
with court politics. It's just too damned bad Ashe doesn't care. He's
arrogant, manipulative, and dangerous. Everything she's been taught
to fear. It would be so easy to hate him, but the sadness in his gaze
calls to her heart, and his touch awakens her own darkness. She has
never wanted anyone more.
Callie
is Ashe's darkest desire, but to earn his freedom and prevent the
destruction of humanity, she must embrace the destiny that will keep
them apart. But is the safety of the world worth losing the kind of
love he's only dreamed of?

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . SLEEPING WITH SHADOWS . . . Dark paranormal romance can be over the top with the darkness and light on details, but with this one there was more than just the idea of being dark. There was the fact that out leading man was indeed dark and tortured. His soul (if fae have one) was in pain and despair. This once proud king, Ashe, had every reason in the world (his world and ours) to stay away from anything to do with females of any race or species. But with that all said he had one thing to do that involved a female and at the same time needed the help of another female. This for him was his only way to make sure things stayed the way he wanted.
Callie was a piece/key to the freedom on former king needed. Callie and Ashe were from opposing sides of thier world. She of the light. Him of the dark. Together they both could be so much more. Together the two of them could keep their world safe. Together they both completed the other. Having the story of Callie and Ashe unfold was entertaining. The was vivid world building and imaginative craftmanship placed on the details. I for one enjoyed getting more out of their story. I could only imaging them coming to life with audio.
