A promise is a promise, but he made one that may be impossible to keep.
One look at her takes his breath away just moments before he makes a complete ass of himself. Zyan’s sure if he can get her to accept his apology, he can charm her into his arms. He’s also sure it’s going to take a lot of work. She’s not like the other women he’s met, and it’s clear that she won’t take any nonsense from him.
Landee worked hard to get her company started, and it’s a good living for a single mom, even if it is a bit unconventional. When the tall, good-looking firefighter pokes fun at her, she’s in no mood for his caveman attitude. She tries to avoid him, but when she finally offers him a chance to redeem himself, she sees a side of Zyan that leaves her wanting more.
Before long they’re more than just friends, and Zyan is also totally smitten with Landee’s little girl, Annalise. Her ex, Curt, has always been a decent father to Annalise, but his behavior is becoming far too strange. That makes Landee very uneasy. Turns out she has every reason to be.
Zyan promised Annalise if she was ever in trouble, he’d find her. He doesn’t have any idea where to start on his quest to keep his promise, but he knows one thing. They’re the family he’d always dreamed of, and no one is going to rip his two girls from his arms, not if he has any say in it.
No one.

The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . JUSTICE FOR LANDEE (Bluegrass Bravery, #6) . . . Another adult romance that has that extra touch of real life and the turbulence that comes with it. Two mature adults with their own lives ahead of them. One a single parent and business owner. The other is a first-line worker. Their paths cross and of course, brain-cells have a problem working clearly. Landee and Zyan have their first encounter that turn into more encounters and then a budding friendship. A friendship that encompasses a promise and a touch of danger that comes too close for this new relationship and possible future family unit.
Hall delivers a well-written romance with danger, promises, romance, and a child that makes it all come together nicely.
Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).
