The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . MY NOT SO WICKED STEPBROTHER (My Not So Wicked, #1) . . . The opening had me all over Emma. I just loved her. She was so real, so down to earth, so herself. That was very important to the story for me. If she was being fake and trying to be something she was not would have taken away. I could visualize Zooey Deschanel as Emma very easily. She would most certainly work. As for Sawyer, I think what cemented it for me was the way he did not hold back with Emma on their first contact. That was just delicious.

The story was full of fun, funny, hilarious moments. The cast of characters all given and taking. Many of them were just taking, but that lent to the air of what was being build around Emma and Sawyer. You fall in love with several background characters that still had important roles.

Narration provided by Melissa Moran and that was a familiar for me. She does a very good job giving us Emma's POV. She could do it all day long and I would not get tired of her.
