The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . RUNAWAY GROOM
(I Do, I Don’t, #2) . . . Well why not have a
realty show where 2 of the contestants don’t want anything to do with being on
television. Well, why not just find yourself laughing outloud in the wrong
places at the wrong times. This was so much fun. I enjoyed Ready to Run book one of the series. I found that I loved book two
even more. This was just so much fun. It took you to a reality show that just
did not have all participants eager and willing.
Fun,
flirty, and very, very entertaining. Reality television on its own is just a big
fat joke. Looking in to others lives for entertainment. This was just done
better. I rather read the book than watch it all unfold on television where you
can just flat out see things are scripted. Gage on a bet does the undesired activity
of participating in a TV Reality show, in Hawaii. Ellie is there for a friend and business and
she has high expectations that she will be heading home fairly quickly. Not
realizing that she presents the biggest challenge yet to this man that will not
allow a woman to best him.
Ellie
and Gage back and forth provides the viewers and other contestants with much to
watch. The banter and chemistry between the two was good. The sexy, flirty
charm was just what got the ball rolling for the two.
As what
I expect from one of LL’s books, this was fun filled, well written, great
characters, banter and more that just pulled you in and invited you to stay for
the whole show. This was just what I needed to top of a good week and enjoy the
winter weather.
No
complaints on this one, except it could have more to follow it.

Blurb
For one charming playboy, getting cast on a Bachelor-esque reality TV show is the shock of a lifetime—until he finds love where he least expects it.
For one charming playboy, getting cast on a Bachelor-esque reality TV show is the shock of a lifetime—until he finds love where he least expects it.
Gage
Barrett’s reputation as a ladies’ man has been greatly exaggerated, but none of
that matters after a drunken bet lands him on Jilted, a reality TV show that
matches runaway grooms with wannabe brides. Now he’s stuck at a Hawaiian resort
with nineteen women competing to drag him back to the altar—and one contestant
who’s even more miserable than he is. Gage has no idea how feisty, independent
Ellie Wright wound up in the cast, but it’s obvious she hates his guts. And if
there’s one thing Gage likes, it’s a challenge. . . .
Ellie
can’t believe she let her best friend talk her into exchanging her dignity for
a glorified bikini contest. Still, she could use the exposure—her business is
struggling—and she’ll probably be one of the first to get eliminated anyway.
But Gage isn’t the shallow jerk Ellie anticipated—and he’s in no rush to send
her home. As stolen kisses turn into secret trysts, she finds herself losing
track of what’s real and what’s for the camera. With the wedding finale
looming, this runaway groom is tempting Ellie to start believing in storybook
endings.
