The Book Junkie Reads . . . Review of . . . HARD BREAKER (Gargoyles, #6)
. . . As a new reader to this series, I
fell in love with Ivy and Baen. I’m not sure if it was necessary to have read
the others but I would say it could have only enhanced the read. I found
beauty, fascination, and depth to the Gargoyles that I was introduced to. I
found a strong read for the mixing of romance and paranormal. Watching Ivy and
Baen fall in love and fight to save the world was for me special.
I was engaged with this
read from the start. When I picked it up it was hard to put it down. This from
someone that had never picked up a book from Christine Warren. I found the
topic of romance between gargoyles and humans enough to lure me in. The pacing
was great. The heat, passion, chemistry, action, drama were all I could want
and then some. There was much in this one book to have me wanting to go back to
the beginning and read the series from the start.
Guardian gargoyles,
demons, murder, magic, mayhem, humans, war, protection, fear, salvation,
banter, conflict, connection. All these things were found and enjoyed.
