Kristi Jun writes Historical Romance, Romantic Thriller, and Contemporary Romance/Rom-con. She resides in Southern California with her infinitely patient husband, a beautiful quirky son, two goofy Australian Labradoodles, a naked cat, and Mushu, a bearded dragon. The Book Junkie Reads . . .Reckless Dreams  Interview with  . . . Kristi Jun . . .

How would you describe your style of writing to someone that has never read your work?
Straight forward and face pace.

I write three sub-categories in Romance genre and even though the style for each category is different my writing tends to be fast-paced, even in my Regency Series. I don’t write heavy narrative or description. I like dialogues and conflict so my books have plenty of them.

Can you share your next creative project(s)? If yes, can you give a few details?
I do have a project that I am working on. It’s the 4th book (Sinful Thoughts) in my Regency Series, Sinful Ladies of London.
Hero’s name is Charles Davenport (MR. O in the Regency Underworld) and a bastard son of a duke.
Charles is a very interesting man. His mother is a concubine in the Forbidden City—emperor’s favorite. She falls in love with the duke (an envoy).
Charles has so many issues to work through in this book because his father refuses to acknowledge him, his identity because he is of mixed race, and mother who abandoned him (no choice).
That’s all I can say for now without giving away the entire plot. It will be released in early October 2021.

What are some of your writing/publishing goals for this year?
I have three books that are coming out this year.
Romantic Thriller, SAVE MY HEART, Book 1 of Jodi Lamont Novels (August 1st 2021)
Regency, Sinful Thoughts (October 2021)
Christmas Rom-con, little to be announced (November 2021)

If you could have dinner/dinner party with 7 fictional characters, who would they be?
Jack Reacher, By Lee Child
Bow Street Runner Gideon Mane, Seduced at Midnight by Jacquie D’Alessandro.
William FitzAlan, Knight of Desire by Margaret Mallory
Gandalf, Lord of the Rings
James Bond
Sherlock Holmes
Elizabeth Bennet

Where would you spend one full year, if you could go ANYWhere, money is not a concern? What would you do with this time?
Wow, let’s see…
I’d most likely spend a full year in London. For some reason, when I was there it felt like a second home to me. I’d rent a three-story townhouse in Mayfair and write, take in the history, and enjoy the food.
